The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
What has Wonder Woman done in Darkseid War, that is the question indeed. I don't see how this event is pivoted on Wonder Woman other than just because she shares her birthday with the (main?) villain. Even in places where she could've done something, Barda jumped in and did it for her. I'm a bit disappointed
@somayareece: she used the lasso to force him to see his own true self as Clark Kent. Which then brought him back to his senses, at least temporarily. @brunhilde ... I'm not at all shocked that you can't see how she's been pivotal in this story, there's no win/loss column for you to keep track of :rollseyee:
Wouldn't call it much of a fight. She dodged him, then calmed him down
So what?. Why do they have to fight all the time?.
She didn't really fight him. She evaded his blows, tanked a direct blast of his heat vision, out-maneuvered him then lassoed him. She mostly used her words and skills because she knew he wasn't in his right mind.
@klaus: which is exactly how she should behave! It's refreshing to see WW acting like a hero with a brain instead of a brainless basher. Seeing her like this gives me hope for the future!
It's also rather refreshing to see Wonder Woman's not completely and helplessly obsessed with Superman, that she harbors feelings towards Steve. It feels very good knowing that when Superman and Lois were making goo-goo eyes at each other, Wonder Woman secretly pined for sweet beautiful Steve
