    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

So I think it's a pretty general perspective that Diana wearing the American flag is silly. So I'd like to propose that maybe the tournament to leave the island wasn't a gladiatorial event but actually a series of labors. Each labor could make up part of her costume and serve canonical importance. I would propose that some of these labors be the lasso of truth, the girdle of Hippolyta (taken from her when Hercules imprisoned the Amazons, this would serve as basically the belt of the costume), the feather from Hermes that gives her flight, and the Pegasus constellation (these would be the stars on the costume, removal at any time to summon the actual Pegasus). I would refrain from the bracelets being one just cause I personally like the idea that they hold in her power, but I would love to know what everyone else thinks? What labor would you send the Princess of the Amazons on to prove her mettle???
