Wonder Woman #29 Cover. Love the art, actually. My feelings are mixed. I am very curious about how she will take this role and I think this could mean that she will be taking control of the situation, or at least trying to. I am also worried that how this will affect her personality.

So what do you guys think?

@hastalavista: It'll depend on the circumstances which will most likely involve the First Born's attempt to seize control of Olympus forcing her to make the decision to take over Ares' seat as God of War. It'll be a big turning point where Diana turns the tide of the conflict I imagine.

I think it might be a more basic reason for Diana to embrace it; to get to Olympus under her own power. (As mentioned, only the Gods can come and go from it, which is why the First Born didn't go there and why Diana needed Hermes to take her there.) So what if the First Born breaks free and takes over Olympus and Diana is left with no other choice but to embrace the mantle to get up there before everything is lost?

Is anyone else worried that Strife hid that sharp golden needle in the helmet? That's the first thing I thought about when she gave Diana Ares' helmet. Beware of Greeks bearing gifts...
