    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

She should leave the Justice League

Well that goes with any hero.

Most of them are only on teams because they make great team players.

    Solo not so well lol.

Every hero is a new one when you take away the team.

The JLA or teams should be almost stand alone because in every hero's own comic they pretty much are that way anyway.

Superman and WW wow the pair is off the chart but you have the legal issues of Lois Lane over written about in the way pain in the ass. (sorry cant stand that character)

Wonder Women is a great character in the league I just cannot stand her outside of it lol.

She is written so many different ways that you just look and say wow... stop changing to much get a hold of yourself.

When they can figure out whom she is and what she is doing then they should make a book.

Until then wow leave her in the league and maybe as one person said. Take her out of the league and let her book fail and her character die off and be done with it. Maybe we are beyond the saving of WW. whom as all characters has grown so much in power nobody cares. You can get to powerful for people to enjoy reading about. There has to be some struggle. Something or what is the point?

Actually this is the better ideal since people in here were just saying how much better she is with the whole team then she is when she makes cameos with mood swings. lol

She has so much potential but it being wasted on the team. I feel like she is part of the team just to make it look good. The other fanbases overlook her talent and capabilities. I bet the Batman and Superman fanboys love the fact that she is/was just a trophy to them. There is honestly no good coming out of being part of the team. Diana is better off without the team and hopefully writers will learn how to treat her with dignity and respect.

She really has so much potentials, and those potentials weren't wasted. Maybe she wasn't just given more limelight to the comics you've read but she's very popular. She's in the JL not to make it look good but she's one of the founding members of it. Without her, the council's decision would undeniably be unreasonable. She's part of the team because she's the most skilled fighters among others, strategist to war, and their another powerhouse besides Superman. No, Diana shouldn't leave the team. Writers find it hard to continue Diana's story because it depicts the strong foundation women has and that should be taken care of. She's treated with respect and dignity because until now, she's the only pioneer girl who's on the team.

why can she not be in multiple books its not like she is going to get over worked. She is not real for gods sake. If somebody wants to read about her and superman let them wow is it that big of a deal they may make some money. Just do not make it a crap story put some damn effort into it. I swear I hate stories where they put no effort into something just to show us it does not work. If I want to waste money I will simply super size my fries and not eat them. lol

She is a character in a story. Any story can take many routes to get to the end any story has the question of what if. Some of them start new characters that rise above the main. This is the awesome part of a great story. They can branch off and make you ask more questions. What if ww never became a hero , settled down became a house wife and learned to cook? oh hell whom are we kidding WW cook yeah right like Jimmy Olson really taking a picture lol what does he do anyway?

Superman has time again shown feats and won battles that other heroes supposedly more powerful than him have failed to stop. Superman jobs to Batman of all people because DC wants Superman to let characters outshine him for a while till he showcases why he's number one.

WW is not as strong as Superman, rivals him only in fighting, but in overall abilities and potential nope.

You know at the end of the day I could care less whom is stronger. What I do care about is the story. Did I spend my money well and did they do a good job. Could they do better and did I get what I asked for when I purchased the book.

If they said the pair of Superman/Wonder Women give me that pair nothing short will do. If they said epic tale then I expect a epic tale. I simply want a good story.

I HATE hero fights so when two fight this to me is filler and useless information. I do not care if Superman could trash Batman in the least. He is on the same side. I do not care if Flash is faster then superman I do care is he fast enough to earn his spot on the Justice League and do his job or if Green Lantern can carry a good pitch because damn flying in space has to get boring so damn right he has to sing. Unless he has a Ipod on him.

    Story story story.

Toss all that other crap out.

Then again I like Maxima to lol who does not love a red headed sexy women.

WW is not as strong as Superman, rivals him only in fighting, but in overall abilities and potential nope.

Superman is not the most powerful hero in DC and batman outshines him and everybody because batman is DC most popular character and yes,the biggest power of all is money, when it comes to iconic characters, many times the one that gets better feats between 2 icons is the one that makes more money, because as far as potential goes, superman isn't the only one with big potential,WW herself has unlimited potential, since her debut in 1941 it was stated that the older she gets, the stronger she gets, the more that she fights/trains the stronger she gets, and she can also get upgrades in other ways like by facing different divine challenges from the gods, etc, and WW doesn't rival him in fighting, she is a much better fighter.

The same could be said for any character in comics. The more they learn the more powerful and better they become.

That said however I could care less if they could bench press the sun.

To strong and they become boring.

Do they fit into the story.

Can they be a cool breeze on a hot day.

This is something I care about.

Make them to strong and why be a part of the team.

Superman's strong fast and a great team leader.

Batman has connections and is super smart and is somebody Superman can trust and go to in a crises.

Wonder Women is to me Superman's other side of his soul his shelter in the storm his yin to his yang.

The Flash is the side of all people that can do and be all places at one time and still have time for tea with the kids.

Why do people have to take away from one character to make another seem better or stronger or fast.

To each his or her own.

Maybe they should only be together in the JL and in their own books no other hero is around ever.

This would solve all those problems of whom is stronger faster and more lame , I mean able.

Sometimes we can just enjoy a story and say. This here is one great tale. Hope they make a movie out of it.

@arthurkerr: Don't worry, you are totally right about Wonder Woman and Superman being equals. Some people just don't want to accept it, I believe there's even a topic about it on here.

You know I was thinking on this today when I had down time. Superman is the idea man to most guys. I mean who would not want to be able to fly save the day and just about do anything.

Wonder Women is the idea women to most women for the same reasons.

So when it comes to dating they see the best for themselves and this couple is that to guys and gals or women and men.

The best of the two just like the perfect king and queen at the dance.

You just can do no better as a couple.

    They go together so well.

Like the perfect dance partners or as I was thinking in the movie with Angelina and Brad pit the couple that just has everything click into place. The Mr. and Misses Smith of the hero world.

Awesome stores are just waiting to be told as this couple just is overboard on potential.

I disagree with her leaving the Justice League and loved her relationship with Bruce, but I didn't see her as a trophy. I'm enjoying her relationship with Superman, and find her more interesting. I'm not the biggest fan how any of the main Justice League members have been handled in the New 52, other than Aquaman. I'm happily take more Wonder Woman though! I love how she's in her own corner in her solo title, and it's my favorite series of the New 52. Wonder Woman doesn't need to rely on any other heroes to be a strong character.
