    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8717 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

Nice interview. This book sounds like it's going to be really interesting, especially with David Finch on the art.

Meredith Finch...holy cow. David wins at life since he comes home to her.

Anyway, you two got big shoes to fill. Following up on what Azzerello did with Wonder Woman is going to be tough.

Sad to see Brian Azzarello and Cliff Chiang go. I like the world, mythos, lore and culture that they built for Wonder Woman in the New 52. Cliff Chiang with his art style and designs for Wonder Woman has been amazing.

I'm excited to see what the Finch's can do with Wonder Woman. Then there's the concern with the art and, maybe, the writing as well. I'm hoping they can use Wonder Woman's sexuality instead of (over?) sexualising her.

Can't wait to see how it'll be with #35!

I'll give a chance when the creative switches over. This interview has given me some hope that they'll do a good job with WW.

    Meredith is right.

    Multiple outfits please!

With such iconic characters, they can put them in a different costume every issue.

I guess publishers don't want to flush the marketing potential of controversial 'permanent' redesigns down the drain just yet.

It's nice to hear they won't be throwing out everything from Azz's run. I hope Hera sticks around. It'd be nice to keep Orion and Zola as well, but I doubt that'll happen.

For most of the interview she seemed very much like she didn't really care. But at the end she seemed to show some excitement. And I think that's important.

You know what...i was thumbs down on these two on this book, but then it hit me...when was the last time Wonder Woman was written by a woman? and had art the caliber of Finch despite how he draws his females?

so this is something I do want to check out after listening to this interview.

I hear how amazing Azzarello's run has been, but I just couldn't get on board with the book. I can't stand Cliff Chiang's art. It just looks terrible to me.

BUT I'm looking forward to this for sure! Love David Finch's art, and I look forward to see what Meredith Finch does.
