I was bored on my lunch break & typed this up. I am not sure I would cover Diana's 'birth' in the first movie & I took some creative liberties with the Tournament of Champions. The story is inspired by elements from Wonder Woman (vol. 1) # 298-302, the 1987 relaunch that George Perez was involved with, elements of Byrne's run & Teen Titans. I would want the movie to feel like Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter meets Star Wars.

The movie starts with an extended opening sequence featuring the origin of the Amazon, told in a mixture of Greek style art animation on pottery and live action. This leads into the US discovering strange happening in the Atlantic Ocean. Steve Trevor is sent to investigate and while flying near the disturbance his plane loses power and he ejects, landing on an uncharted island. He is found by Diana, who against the laws of the island brings him to the healers. She convinces her mother, the queen, to allow Steve to be looked after until he recovers. Once awake he is questioned and mentions the disturbance. Hippolyta goes white with fear and flees to the oracle; Diana follows her and overhears not only Hippolyta talking to the oracle but also the Gods of Olympus. Diana learns the island is above the pits of Tartarus and the Amazons are the sworn guards to the great evil that lies within. The Oracle also reviles that due to the machinations a great nation (USA) the evil shall escape and both God and man shall fall. The Gods order Hippolyta to send the Amazon's greatest warrior back to the US with Steve as a harbinger of what is to come and an ambassador. As Steve prepares to return to the US to warn Amanda Waller of the impeding doom if the US does not pull back, Hippolyta gathers her greatest warriors for a Tournament of Champions, the winner journeying back to the US with Steve. Knowing the true fate of the winner, Hippolyta forbids Diana to enter; however, as to tournament is going on, Diana is compelled to journey deep into the bowls of the island to the doorway of Tartarus. There she is attacked by Artemis, The Amazon Champion from thousands of years ago, chosen to wear the mantel of the gatekeeper, not allowing the great evil to pass through Doom's Doorway. Centuries at Doom's Doorway has physically effected her giving her and given he the appearance of being almost mummified. Though Artemis had never met Diana, nor had Diana ever heard of this Amazon, Artemis realizes Diana's striking resemblance to Hippolyta and bows before her. She then tells her tell, long kept from Diana and a legend of an Amazon who will rise above all Amazon's to free them from Doom's Doorway. Now knowing what she must do, Diana challenges Artemis and defeats her in battle. Artemis presents Diana with her armor and weapons, but no lasso, just then the doorway begins to crack. Artemis goes into Tartarus and Diana returns to the surface in the familiar (DCnU) Wonder Woman armor. As the contest continues, Diana interrupts and reveals what she has learned and she is the one chosen to free the Amazons. Hippolyta is mortified but must obey the wish of the Gods. Diana quickly prepares to leave the Island with Steve and the two return to the USA. As Diana and Steve leave the island, earthquakes begin shaking the island. We see various parts of the island, including a prison area where a magenta haired female is using the commotion to make her escape. Finally we see Artemis run to the surface with great fear on her skeletal face... Doom's Doorway has fallen!

Back in the US, Diana and Steve are retained (the government is still remembering what happened with Superman). Both Steve and Diana are given a polygraph test administered by Dr. Moulton, while he tries to administer the test to Diana strange things begin to happen, as if forces will not allow her to take the test. Later they undergo a psychological evaluation by Dr. Edgar Cizko who is assisted by Valerie Beaudry. Waller orders a meeting with Steve and he tries to convince Waller that Diana is not the threat, but to no avail. Waller is acting erratic and irrational and initiates a nuclear war against Khandaq. With the help of Hermes, Etta Candy and Steve, Diana escape. Hermes tells Diana, the Gods have been captured by the Demons of Tartarus and only he is able to communicate with her. He also lets her know that both the Amazons and the Gods are counting on her and he will return. Steve manages to convince several US officials of the pending dangers as well as top archeologists Helena Sandsmark and Barbara Menerva. The Demons of Tartarus and the children of Ares begin to attack and Diana rushes out to battle. Hermes shows up again and gives Diana the Golden Lasso and winged sandals, but explains without the sandals he will no longer be able to guide her, but she can use them to fly and travel between dimensions. He also explains that the lasso is a conduct to the truth and light inside her, this is why it glows when she is holding it and it will be one of her greatest weapons in the coming battle. Just then a demon sends a fireball into a building and Diana quickly flies into it and saves a raven haired toddler. On a Jumbotron type screen we see a news report about a business merger between Baroness von Gunther and Veronica Cale, Diana, toddler in one arm, takes the lasso and smashes a demon into the screen. After Diana wins this minor battle she return to confront Waller, who now has Steve, Etta, Helen and Barbara captive. Diana ensnares Waller in the lasso and we learn Amanda is being manipulated by Ares. Ares has been banished for centuries but has now found a way to use the Demons of Tartarus to escape his prison. Unfortunately the missile launch has been initiated. Steve prepares to take out the missiles using the governments experimental ‘Invisible Jet’ while Helen, Barbara and Diana head to a mysterious island called Oolong where the Demons are gathering. On Oolong they make their way to an ancient temple where the demons have gather. Helene and Barbara are using ancient relics to weaken the demons and open a doorway into another dimension and Diana is fighting them and forcing them into the doorway. Steve also destroys the missiles and against orders flies to Oolong. Steve arrives shortly after the Demons are banished and a now fully restored Ares emerges and attacks Diana. Helen and Barbara take cover and Barbara discovers glyphs on the wall about a Cat God. Another great battle between Diana and Ares, who has made himself a giant, ensues and Steve also attack in the jet, think King Kong. Ares rips a wing off the jet as Steve flies to close to him and it crashes into a fiery ball. Enraged Diana ensnares Ares in her lasso and decapitates him with her ax. She makes a quick trip into Hades to rescue Steve’s soul but she must sacrifice the sandals in order for the two to return to Man’s World. Back on Oolong they discover Barbara is missing, the three search for her but with no luck. The US sends a helicopter to pick them up and Steve makes a joke about Diana using the jet if it is repaired. She replies it is not her style. Once back in the USA, Waller is noticeably intimidated by Diana. Something Waller has never experienced.

Diana returns to the island to help rebuild but discovers it has disappeared. Hermes appears to Diana revealing that the God’s are free from their prison and the Amazon's are free from their long punishment and have entered paradise with the Gods; however, since Diana is now the Gatekeeper to Tartarus and the Demons have now entered Man's World, she most remain there and not in Paradise to protect the Earth from the Evils of Tartarus. Hermes tells her he will still be there to guide her and as one last gift he grants her the ability of super speed and flight of her own accord. Diana returns to the USA and with Steve’s help sets up the Diana Prince Secret ID and goes to work with the US Government.

• This movie should set up future movies to feature Circe, Cheetah, Silver Swan and Dr. Psycho.
