@Vance Astro: they're plenty of women who are at least 5'10 that have a nice enough body to play her. they may not be muscular but alot of time is spent on gettin the actors and actresses physically fit to play the part. ima have to disagree with u on that. no disrespect.
Jennifer connelly might be a great pick, i always thought that monica bellucci would be good but she is a bit old to continue in any sequals. but like others have said get a lesser known actress in there that would look the part and be greatful enough for the chance that they would reserch the role and give it there best.
I don't think you ask too much of a character. I believe Angelina Jolie cited far better reasons for wanting to play the role of the video game heroine, Lara Croft; and she owned that part. I have some love for the work Jennifer Love Hewitt has done in the past. She's done action to some extent during her run in the horror movies. She's 'cute', but is she 'strong'?
It's really hard to think of a known actress to take on the role of such an iconic character. The young boy they found to play Harry Potter in the popular book series was discovered in a movie theater. If I HAD to pick a name. Only two names come to my mind. Kate Beckinsale was able to play a tough woman with a tender side in Underworld. I don't know about how you would feel about this choice, but, what of Jessica Alba? Sure, her stint as Sue Storm was pretty mixed, but when she played Max in Dark Angel she showed she could do some pretty cool action. She showed a woman who could kick all the guys asses and still make the tough girl feminine.
I thought that the bracelets that Lynda Carter wore were gold...But then, who was really looking at the bracelets? I don't know why, but I see somebody like say, maybe a Catherine Zeta-Jones or a Kate Beckinsale - somebody who's already doing action movies. But then again, Michael Keaton is always the exception to the rule. I don't think her saying that she wants to wear the costume is a good reason to want to play Wonder Woman. I'd almost like to see a casting like Christopher Reeve for Superman, like Lynda Carter, an unknown that can fill the role and deliver a believable, credible performance rather than just walk around in the costume. (Isn't that what Nicholas Cage was trying to accomplish with Ghost Rider?) Of course, being hot wouldn't hurt...

She's short and far too thin. She would have to eat a proper meal first, and maybe work out a whole bunch to even begin to portray the strength and physique of Wonder Woman. No go for me right now.
Megan Fox by far has the look part down, but she is a terrible actress lol. Jennifer Love Hewitt has the acting, but not the look. Its a fucking toss up. Are there no good female black haired actors?!?. Yes there is lol, but its would be very hard to fit the roll of Diana, you need to be the total package. The look, the acting skils and you have to be trained with a huge fucking gold whip! HUZZAAHH!
@Mr. Nerd: I pulled up some photos, Linda Carters were gold in a few shots and silver in some others. Only found a few Gold images from the books though. I do know as a kid I had a WW figure and it had gold bands. Lol

None of these women are built like Wonder Woman.All beautiful but no fit for Wonder Woman.So like I said again.Who ever they pick for Wonder Woman will never live up to the part.They just need to pick someone pretty who can act and as suggested I think it should be Jennifer Connelly.Wonder Woman's beauty comes from a goddess,nobody REAL person can match that.

Wonder Woman isn't built like Arnold..What are you talking about? Adriana Lima is not an actress.Check her filmography..she plays herself in half the things on the list

I think Jennifer would look great in the outfit and I don't think she could do the rest. Nor do I think any of the big names in Hollywood right now co do it. The first thing any actress has to be to do this role, a brunette and look like they could actually be Greek. I get sick of hearing about all these blonde chicks up for the role. Next she needs to be able to convey that level of strength, will and determination that Wonder Woman represents. I think in perfect world it would be if they actual got an famous Italian or Greek actress to play the role. But a Hollywood actress. Wow that's going to be tough.
Erica Durance, Laura Vandervoort, Jessica Biel, Megan Fox and Lucy Lawless are terrible choices one because no one this list is a good enough actress and two because none of the are the right physically.
Charlize Theron could do it if she wasn't so damn blonde. She has the presence and acting chops and has shown she can be physically powerful. Angelina Jolie could have do it if she hadn't already married herself to Tomb Raider.
That leaves Jennifer Connolly. This has been the only good suggestion so far. She has the acting ability and could pull of the look. Unless some one pulls something out of their asses this is the only on the list so far that gets me excited. But don't put Eric Bana anywhere in the film please.

have u heard of hair dy, u dont have to be greek to play wonder woman, most people who are greek u cant even tell just by lookin at them. bottom line is neither charlize theron or jennifer connelly could do it. the most important thing is to be able to act like wonderwwoman, the mind set an actress would have to be in to play her. behind that is bein physically fit, or just bein able to handle all the stunts that they would have to do, then lookin like her. race has nothin to do with it as long as she's tall and she's not skinney and boney. that's a definite no to angelina cause she po nasty, i can see almost every bone and her body im really tired of hearin people suggestin her.
