The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
@lxlgiftedlxl: I'm about to start volume 4 and I think it's fantastic. If you're a big Greek mythology nerd like me then you will especially like it. Admittedly there isn't as much action as your average superhero book but it also had a better story than most and the battles that do take place, at least so far, have meaning. Unlike most superhero stuff where they're fighting because... well... superheroes.
It was enjoyable but it would've certainly been a disaster without Chiang. Imagine David's Wonder Woman with the same speech bubbles above her head, what Strife would've looked like and how crappy a character she would've been...it all would've been sh*t
If you like the WW before New 52, then probably no. In my opinion, it's mediocre. But to you, you might like it. It's all subjective to be honest. Heck, I met people who love "The Last Airbender", the Twilight movies, and 50 Shades.
