No upper muscles at all: the guys that posted here wanted her like a bodybuilder needs proffesional help; Upper muscles are a masculine attribute, what next? that she would be a tranny with a pennis? C'mon people, get serious. I personally prefer her with no upper muscles, but well tonified leggs and firm big butt. Also more feminine curves. She has no need of physical strenght/appearance, she could do more simply being more feminine/graceful.

#207 Posted by Danieles (124 posts) - - Show Bio

@betatesthighlander1: Who me? On this? Hmmm... as long as she's not supermodel (or undernourished) skinny or freakishly Injustice muscular, I'm good. Gina Carano's body type isn't bad. Body type not acting skills. Let's not go there or I'll be ranting about Haywire and the Gardai for weeks

Not a bodybuilder, but not a supermodel either, I'd say somewhere in the middle.

If Wonder Woman wants to avoid spreading gas from the bacteria in her colon, Wonder Woman needs to have very very strong rectal muscles to keep the gas inside.

HAHAHAHAHAHA... LMAO dude...

@powerwoman: There is a line between fit and athletic and just gross. Beyonce actually has the perfect body for Wonder Woman. Gina Carano too but they shouldn't be Wonder Woman in live action.

i know, but if a woman have strength enough moved earth she should be look like very strong, not just beatiful

I don't think she should look like a man or as strong! She should be in great shape and toned, but still be an attractive woman.

I like her level of muscles here. Pretty close to the ideal example if you ask me:

#225 Posted by Eklipps (1 posts) - - Show Bio

She should look like a weightlifter, not like a body builder. the Reality is the woman on the right is stronger than the woman on the left.

#226 Posted by Betatesthighlander1 (7462 posts) - - Show Bio

@eklipps:

fair enough

do you think male superheroes should also have less definition?

Over bulked much like a body builder would limit her combat ability with swords. Too much muscel can get in the way of arm movement.

jessica ennis would be a good starting point.

In Cover Run, Adam Hughes says that he always envisaged the muscle definition you see as being moulded into the leather cuirass (as was the custom in ancient Greece and Rome) and wasn't representative of her actual abs, etc.

I always saw her as being athletic but not muscle-bound, since her super strength comes from godly origins.

#230 Posted by Nova`Prime` (4165 posts) - - Show Bio

Considering she isn't human she doesn't need to be muscular to be strong. She should be drawn athletic, not muscular. Her build would fit closer to an Olympic style runner, like Lolo Jones and less like a female body builder. Actually while we're on the subject of characters being drawn, Flash should look a lot more like a runner then a muscle bond meat head.

but plenty of male superheroes have unconventional strength origins and are still totally ripped

as buff as she is curvy

This is as muscular as Wonder Woman needs to be.

This is a perfect representation of girl power...

If a tank rolled on stage and Beyonce picked it up and crushed it, no one would even be surprised. Her personal muscularity is irrelevant.

you joking right the chick with the red as nothing not even a lump-------beyonce has a great body but i cant see wonder woman (a worrier princes how kicks ass) have the same body type-----but thats just my opinion

#240 Posted by Bezza (3639 posts) - - Show Bio

the guy who said Jess Ennis is spot on. As a brit she is one of our favourites. great six pack to show off her core strength, but lithe, athletic and slender. Also a looker!

If you want a lump see post #212 'cause I'm pretty sure that's a dude. I posted Beyonce to prove a woman can look powerful without being muscular, her strength comes from within.

#242 Posted by Muffin_Sangria (612 posts) - - Show Bio

She should defiantly be toned with very defined muscles but I don't think she needs to really be bulky at all. I'd like too see them bring an emphasis back to the Amazon's phionic abilities so they don't really need big muscles.

@danieles: I've actually been considering writing an erotic fanfiction where all the Amazons have penises. Just something silly that should in no way appear in the real comics.

#243 Posted by Frozon (138 posts) - - Show Bio

Pls not too muscular...in healthy shape, but not too muscular because she will look like a transsexual lol.

Take the breast bump away and that could totally be a dude. And it's not realistic at all because anyone with arms that buff wouldn't have enough fat to have breasts, that's why female body-builders get implants.

@scorpio_cassadine: Google Serena Williams, she's got arms like that and god-given double d's. Also if you look at Hellenistic imagery and Renaissance art you'll notice women often look gorgeously strong and sinewy.

#248 Posted by SilverPool (1489 posts) - - Show Bio

She should look athletic and physically capable, but still give off a strong vibe of "I'd hit that." Some of you want her to look like a f***ing bodybuilder.

#249 Posted by WonderWomanFan8 (219 posts) - - Show Bio

She doesn't need to look like an Olympic bodybuilder. But she shouldn't look like a pin up doll, or a runway model either. She should be toned, have an athletic build. Lean frame, with muscles thrown in.

Yuck! Who wants "strong and sinewy"? Sounds like a tough piece of chicken. And yes, I know Serena's form well, there's a lot of hips, @ss and thighs to go along with those breastesses and none of that is in your picture. Still I don't think Wonder Woman should be built like Serena. She's too much for most men to handle, Wonder Woman should have more of a universal appeal.

Notice that as big as Serena is, she doesn't have striations in her arms or the hard looking narrow hips that are in your picture.

Despite all her strength, she's a soft and cushiony place to land.
