So, I was watching Justice League on Netflix last night. I think the episode was "the threat from below," or something like that. Anyway, there's this scene where the league is fighting a couple ships in Aquaman's fleet, and Diana blocks a few laser bolts from this huge turret. Now, I don't know much about Wonder Woman outside the DCAU, but I'm curious - how much have Wonder Woman's bracelets been shown to be able to block in the comics?
Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
How durable are Wonder Woman's braclets?
Currently - indestructible as stated by Hephaetus. (he made them)
She deflected Darkseid's Omega Beams with them in the first arc of Justice League, so feats seem to support it.
As nearly all wiki's will tell you; they are indestructible. And as said, they have blocked/deflected Darkseid's Omega-Beams (both pre and post Flashpoint); in this one it was a shot Darkseid intended to kill Superman with.
That said, it has happened in some AU's that they have been broken (like Superman broke them in Absolute Power when he went berzerk after Diana killed Batman).

Gah! Spoilers!!
Thanks for the info, guys.
They weren't able to stop a bullet from Eros' pistol, so they're not exactly indestructible.
Interesting. I'm guessing Eros had some sort of special pistol?
@battle_forum_junkie: Sorry the book has only been out for 7 years or more :D
Regarding Eros and his guns; they are special since whoever is shot with them instantly falls in love.
@outside_85: Nah you're fine, I'll probably never read the book. And if I do pick it up, I'll likely have forgotten. :P
That's what I figured.
@toplel: I guess that makes sense. Thanks.
A good Pre Flashpoint bracelets feat for the bracelets was that they deflected a blast from the combined might of the Olympian Gods which consist of several confirmed Skyfathers
And they also deflected close up punches from Power Girl on several occasions as well. In short, they were damn near indestructible.
The New 52 bracelets seem really durable as well given that they were made by Hephaestus himself.
@drgnx: Issue 13
@drgnx: You might have an easier time finding it by its tradename: Superman/Batman vol. 2: Supergirl

thanks :)

didn't the bracelets have an upgrade from hephaestus after that?.
@gokuwarrior: I can't seem to recall that. What issue was that in?
i don't remember,sorry,it's just that new 52 WW has disapointed me so i wanted to forget all about it,lol,i've been reading again pre 52 material,and letting my imagination flow,since new 52 did nothing for me.
@gokuwarrior: Not in durability, Hephaestus only appeared to add the sword summoning while he tinkered.
So far however it doesn't appear that the bracelets have holes in them from the bullet, though that could just be the artist.
@outside_85: ok,thanks.
