I mean, really gotten the crap beaten out of her? it seems to me that the writers always make her out to be perfect and infallible. Just once I'd like to see her lose.
Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8719 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
Has Wonder Woman ever lost a fight?

You really hate Wonder Woman don't you?
@Jade1977: Plenty, in fact most Wonder Woman titles focus on her failing hard, then coming back at the last minute with some miraculous win. Truth is, that's how a lot of storylines go for many superpowered characters, but it's in particularly obvious in most WW titles. I'd say, if your interested in WW, you should spend a a little more time getting into the material.

I'm waiting for the Storm v WW scan those hardcore storm fanatics always bring up.
Sacrilege sir, sacrilege! IMHO at least...

That's non canon "/
Yeah umm. this isn't a battle....the OP asked for instances where WW got beaten up. Canon or no, this is still one of those several instances,.../

@TheSwordsman: Where is that from?
Got it from an internet google to be honest, bro.

@TheSwordsman: So it doesn't count.
Wrong. It actually counts where this thread is concerned. It is an instance, in a comic book, where she got beat up. The OP did not state whether it had to be canon or not. They just wanted to see her lose. Mission accomplished. My job here is done.
@TAneT62: OP never asked for canon. C'mon now. You're coming off as someone who just doesn't want to see you fave superhero get beaten.

Isn't the Bizarro pic fan art?
Now that is entirely possible. I am really not sure. If it is fan art then it definitely does not count. If it is simply non-canon it still does.
Probably not, but we can keep waiting for her first wardrobe malfunction. If you know what I mean. Huh? Huh? Cause you know? I just want to make sure you get it. You got it right?
. . . cuz boobs.
Generally Wonder Woman does not lose direct fair melee based fights. That's her whole claim to fame. She is capable of beating stronger opponents because of her fighting ability. She finds a way to win through any means using her opponents weakness whether psychological or physical.
That being said she loses when
- she seriously misreads her opponents (Braniac in Doomsdays body defeated her for example devastation vs wonder woman ETC)
- Fighting an opponent who is not melee based (Wonder Woman vs Hades and WW vs Circe)
- is physically unable to cause harm to her opponent. see WW #11
- Is not wearing her full uniform especially the bracers
Basically if she can hurt her opponent in anyway she is going most likely going to beat them. A lot of times she gets pretty roughed up when she beats tough opponents but she does win.
@WDW: wonder woman doesn't need her armor to use her powers,she can use them at will,but most of the time she wears the bracelets,even with normal clothes.
she can be beaten and has been beaten,but come on,wonder woman can beat opponents that have magical or energy attacks like hades or circe,she has beaten circe a lot,ares,powergirl,mercury etc,i think it's more likely for her to lose when her opponent is way more powerful than her,that's the case for most of the fights that a character loses,not just her,it's the same for all the characters,generaly,most of the time that we see them beaten,it's because the opponent is more powerful than them.

Yes Wonder Woman can be beaten of course. There are thousands of ways she can be beaten. My point is she is not going to be beaten in a straight up melee fight. Batman has been beaten in a straight up melee fight by beings of similar strength, Superman had been beaten in a straight up melee fight by beings of similar strength) but Wonder Woman has not which makes complete sense for her character since she is designed specific to win melee specific battles.
for example:
Superman is design specific to be the strongest. He will always win when strength is the determining factor
Batman is the smartest detective. He will always win when outsmarting someone is the way to win.
Wonder Woman is the greatest Warrior she will not be out fought. She does not lose melee only battles (if she is strong enough to cause injury to her opponent)
That is why writers are forced to make her strength way lower in order for beings like mongol and Bizarre to beat her in the above non canon posts.
Bottom line is nobody is really going to simply outfight Wonder Woman
@WDW: i understand your point,i just wanted to say that she can deal with opponents with energy attacks and all that,she has beaten a lot of opponents that have super strength,super speed,durability,and energy attacks,that's what i wanted to clarify.

Bizarro did the same thing in actual text in Trinity ( the mini by Wagner, not the maxi from a year or two ago)
