    Wonder Woman

Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8808 issues.

The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

Warning: Spoilers for Wonder Woman #3 and slightly for Justice League #3.

In JL #3, as a younger heroine full of Amazonian pride, she requests a child call her Diana who had called her Wonder Woman.

At the end of WW #3, she says not to call her Diana any longer and to only refer to her as Wonder Woman because of the shame she felt.

If that's not brilliant and subtle character development then it was one of the best mistakes ever. Holy crap, I was amazed by how clever that was. Go DC!

Thats cool. I agree. However, I was just stating that its probably not going to be strictly American, most likely it will be international.

Huh?  New American?  She has n't been "American" since before Crisis on Infinite Earths, although she used the US as a base of operations later she wasn't really American.  At the beginning of this series she seems to be based out of London

@RazzaTazz I didn’t realise her base for this reboot, but I always associate Wonder Woman with traditional Americana, it’s her roots.

I wouldn't say that that was the case since the silver age.  Perez moved her to be more of an international hero
