As I've stated all along, Powergirl is NOT stronger than Wonder Woman. The writer says so right here.

Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8804 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.
For Battle Threads,Powergirl/Wonder Woman
The writer was Gail Simone. Nuff said.
Why is WW #41 the only thing people ever bring up? Kara was possessed by Dr. Alchemy in The Brave and the Bold #7, and there she one-shotted Wonder Woman. No one ever talks about that. Let's just talk about Power Girl losing to Wonder Woman in a fight written by Gail "Huntress can make Shiva sweat" Simone.
Additionally, this is on the wrong forum, adding "For Battle Threads" there in the title does not make it the right forum. This should be on either the PG or WW thread.
Also, the link doesn't work. Also, I hear KMC is nice these days. Hint, hint.

Here's what she said:
I don't think Power Girl is stronger or faster than Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman was likely erring on the side of caution.

@CitizenBane: Honey, PG has the stone in her hand. No one counts that. We all know the stone's power. LOL. WW wasn't even one shot. She gets right up. LOLOLOLOL.
Honey, that stone does not add any kind of strength to the user. At all. It never has, in any of Dr. Alchemy's appearances. LOL. Wonder Woman sure didn't make another appearance until PG was all the way in Antarctica. LOLOLOLOL.
@fangirl101 said:
@CitizenBane: PG does fly rather fast. And The stone adds all kinds of powers. Why else would PG hit her with it? You might have had a case if She'd have used her other hand. But you don't.
PG hit Diana with the stone because Dr. Alchemy always holds the stone in his hand, and since he was in Kara's body at the time..........well, do the math, it's simple enough. It has never, ever added strength to the user. Like, ever. You might have had a case if you knew the slightest damn thing about the stone. But you don't.

@CitizenBane: You might have a case if she didn't hit WW with the stone. An artifact of immense power, that allows the user to do nearly anything. including change their structure and even the structure of others. The stone is glowing and it hits Diana. Period. If I hit you with my bare fist, it's not going to have the same effect as if I hit you with a brick in my hand. Game over. Please make special note of all the red energy flying around as PG hits WW. That's from the stone honey.
The stone is always glowing, sweetheart. And it still does not add ANY strength to the user. You think otherwise? Prove it. With examples from the Flash comics that Alchemy regularly appears in. Good luck with that.
Why is the stone glowing? (gonna move this to the WW thread as well) usually thats a visual indication of some sort of power resonating from the object is it not?
Anyway, I'm quitting this thread. I'm already well acquainted with fangirl101's delusional, rabid fanboyism. beatboks put up with her nonsense for an admirable amount of time, but I do not have his patience. I can only take so much of the ramblings of children. Have fun. The last word is all yours, since I know it's going to be worthless anyway.
@CitizenBane: Does it hold an enhanced properties or is it described anywhere? I believe you, not saying I dont. I just think its odd that it glows just to glow.

It lets the user transmute stuff (hence the alchemy part of Dr. Alchemy). That's about it. It's never added strength.

lol yeah I thought about that after I examined the scan more carefully. Still though, I almost wanna assume at the very least its durability has to have been elevated cause I dont see how a simple rock doesnt just crumble instantly upon hitting WW's face. But I wont keep you in this thread any longer. Not a big deal to me either way, just curious.
DC comic powers level are all lame DC says Wonder Woman is only weaker then superman in strength but then they try to power her down all the time. Superman is said to be the strongest but captain marvel and wonder woman can match his strength, it all comes down to popularity, superman and any spin-off heroes should not be able to fight any magic based people like captain marvel or wonder woman.
@fangirl101: The tears of outraged WW fanboys.
Seriously, learn to read, kid.

I'm not beatboks. I cannot put up with the ramblings of children. Don't expect me to reply past this point, I don't feel like wasting time on one such as you.

Yeah you are right. The stone was used to GAS wonder woman with cyanide before a possessed PowerGirl hit Wonder Woman while she was trying to hold up a ceiling.

Did you read "Brave and the Bold #7" First Wonder Woman choking on cyanide and was holding up a collapsing roof while a possessed Power Girl sucker punched her and the roof collapse. I would not call that a One Shot.
@FlagSister: Excellent job filling in the context of what exactly happened. Anyway there are countless feats, character statements and examples of WW easily being stronger the PG. She's somewhere underneath Superman, Shazam, Darkseid and a few others, but PG aint one of em.
@fangirl101:
I just threw his name in there for the sake of argument as to not get sidetrack as people start yelling about who is or isnt above/below her. This way the main point is not lost. That point being that PG aint in WW's strength league. She may be close, but its nothing substantially close.

I prefer the term outclasses rather than stronger.
Wonder Woman out-classes Power-girl.
so,you think ww is stronger than PG?
honestly I don't think the question of who is stronger is really relevant unless the situation is clearly defined. There are many instances where Power-girls abilities would be more useful or considered stronger than Wonder Woman's for example Power-Girl as a Kryptonian, does not need to breath or eat, her eye sight is much better than Wonder Woman's and so is her hearing.
However, for the most part people simply want to know who would win in a fight between the two and I would have to say Wonder Woman. She simply outclasses Power-Girl in terms of head to head combat.

@a88378438: In Supergirl: Power (the one that the scans of Kara with MM are from), Supergirl does hit Wonder Woman near the end, but it doesn't have much effect. And it is implied after that that Wonder Woman is strong enough to keep her subdued

the supergirl destroy a moon just like superman, and In fact, WW not beat Supergirl, she just put her down.

@a88378438: Gail Simone has stated that Power Girl is Not. So you can believe what you want. The writer says no.
what powergirl?powergirl has Different power, the writer say ww stronger than pg is PG high-level or low level?
HUGE Different in PG strong level
@a88378438: Personally I think Wonder Woman is stronger. Kara in pre DCnU was still a teenager and hadn't reached the peak of her strength. As for feats, Wonder Woman helped pull a third of the Earth along with Superman and Martian Manhunter. Flying through a moon requires speed, which Supergirl has in spades, and density, which she also has being a Kryptonian. For me, it's not really a show of strength, but more her invulnerability and speed.
@a88378438: The scan you posted shows Wonder Woman realizing that she can't talk PG out of whatever's wrong with her, and the next two pages show her subdue PG with ease. The book that scan is from, Wonder Woman: Contagion, is written by Gail Simone who said Power Girl isn't as strong as Wonder Woman.
