One of the coolest things about establishing EARTH 2 in the DC Universe is the fact that we get to see whole new interpretations and character designs of some of DC's biggest characters. Some of them may not be so cool, but in the case of Wonder Woman it seems the Amazon Princess is finally looking like a warrior. Can you say Lucy Lawless, anyone?

DC revealed artist Jim Lee's costume design for Wonder Woman earlier today and we admit, she looks pretty badass. Fully equipped with a sword, metal gauntlet and silver tipped boots Diana's EARTH 2 costume design certainly looks like something of an upgrade from her traditional star-spangled leotard. What do you think of the costume design? Do you like it better then her current costume?

I would love to see a finished version, but so far I like this look a lot. It pays enough homage to the classic version to be recognizable, but looks tough at the same time. Even if some of the details might not be really "combat efficient" (especially the boots).

As far as I'm concerned this is one of the best concepts fo WW I've ever seen.

I like this far more than her normal "oh looks...its a swimsuit" costume.

Dude, I'm sorry....just give up hope, It's Kal El it may not be Clark but it's Kal El. The trinity is the same as on new earth

They've already said Earth 2 Batman will use lethal force. I would like to see a universe full of heroes who do the same. It would be an interesting change.

I like it. Though, I always like it when they play up the Greek themes in her costume. I like the big gauntlet on her arm.

A nice compliment to these designs is that they once again make me wish I was a capable artist. I would love to be able to play around with some of these designed characters.

The inclusion of these designs with such prominence, however, is diminishing my initial theory that this trinity would be destroyed, leading to the reformation of the JSA in their world... last of the Amazons doesn't bode well for Donna here... looking at it, I'm just not convinced that they're playing for her angle.

I think this is what most of us (all my friends at least) wanted Diana to look like in New 52. Instead of modifying her more recent (fairly unsuccessful) ultra-modern redesign, doubling down on AMAZON warrior princess.

Badass. Reminds me of the Flashpoint one a bit, if only because the tiara got upgraded. Not quite Mera's helm, but still, nice.

If it's Donna I'll read this, if it's Diana I won't even bother picking up the first issue.

As much as I really want Donna, I would prefer this to be the original trinity. Even though Earth-2 is a great way to possibly introduce Donna and Wally into the DCnU without having to put them in the mainstream Earth-Prime, I would prefer them to be on E-Prime in a couple years than have them on E-2.....unless DC decides to pull a modern version of Crisis On Infinite Earth's.

Its funny even before reading the blog you can spot Jim lee's work from far... His artwork is always amazing!

I have been saying for YEARS how Diana's outfits have been ok but not perfect. For years I kept thinking her W.W. outfit should look more ancient Greek warrior-esqe and it's FINALLY happened!

Greek "style" armour. This is what i thought a wonderowman costume should be if they ever put her onto the big screen. Afterall she is an amazon warrior, so she should be equiped with armour / greek battle dress.
