Does anyone think a lot of people underestimate Wonder Woman

I've seen crap from people saying that Wonder Woman is pathetic and I feel that this is VERY much untrue. Just wondering, but what does anyone else think?

agreed. i ran into here on one Vs battle and i felt to vote against her but not by much.

It wasn't on this site. But on other sites I have seen people underestimate her and say she's weak and I really don't agree with that.

Yes people underestimate her, some cool people do it because they don't really know her, other are fanboys/haterboys or whatever you wanna name stupidity.

I wouldn't call her pathetic, although depending on the forum you go to she is either underrated or overrated... I don't think I've ever seen a happy medium.

And if anyone is wondering I really don't have an opinion about her because I don't read her title.

WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE UNDERESTIMATE WONDER WOMAN.You would think by 2009,people would get it together.There are people who actually believe Ms.Marvel and Sentry are contenders for her.It's ridiculous.I can understand people not liking her (I do but I understand) but for people to sit here on the vine on a daily basis and constantly make up stuff about her abilities pisses me off to no end.I am sick and tired of battle threads involving her going to like page 76 because people won't admit she wins when the answer is obvious.People will be shown undeniable proof and still they will keep going.It almost seems sexist to me.Like they can't admit a female character can beat a powerful male character even though it's obvious she is superior to alot of them.Especially when you compare her to Marvel's most powerful male characters.

There is a reason why Wonder Woman is one of the Big Three. She could only be there is she was one of the best there is.

Woah Vance buddy you don't relax that vein in your forehead is going to pop and nobody wants to clean that stuff up.

Oh and that's why I steer clear of the battle forums anymore, tired of reading why certain characters can beat another character and just have the argument turn into a war between two people.

Because I like Wonder Woman? That is odd. I would assume by that logic that whatever comics you choose to read would make you a fanboy of that particular character as well and thus, have no validity in debates.

Wonder Woman's very powerful, but her book just doesn't appeal to me.

Wonder Woman has gone through so many changes over the years. I don't think writers have a full understanding of who she is and what she represents. She's not the same character from when she first started. There use to be this magical element about her that led to her being called Wodner Woman. There's no "wonder" about her. I remember reading one issue where she took a penny and stretched it into a bridge. Now that would seem ridiculous today but way back when that was something amazing. That element is lost on her. She now looks like any other female warrior character. They're nothing special about her. Also there's no side story. She use to have Steve Trevor and Etta candy around. When she wasn't fighting crimes or saving lives she was hanging with them. They were gateway to the world. She learned from them. Most of the characters she meets up with now aren't interesting or have a very generic association with her. And different writers have presented her in different ways. Sometimes she very powerful like Superman. Other times she has just above human strength. One thing that has bothered me is the difference between her and the other Amazons. It use to be that the other Amazons were above human capabiliteis and Wonder Woman was almost God-like. Now it seems like the Amazons are as powerful as she is. I think because of that she has lost what made her great among her people. I think when they change her number to 600 they should also try changing her storyline so make her better. If she is one of the Big Three she should be treated like such and appear as such.

So this is what happened to her... so sad.

I hope she regains her true glory and real position in terms of power, strength and character.
I wish writers shouldn't take liberties too much in making up things with her... I know it pays to be creative but consistency of character with a good story is more creative... just like what is happening with the X-Men.

I agree with this all. She's called one of the big three, but she's not really treated as well as Superman and Batman. When a lot of people think of DC comics, they mainly think just Superman and Batman. DC should try to increase make her better so that people will stop thinking of only Superman and Batman, but also include Wonder Woman with them. I think they should also try to make her more powerful, for the main reason I made this thread is because I felt a lot of people seem to think that Wonder Woman is weak and not very powerful at all.

She's under-estimated, but I think it's largely due to her costume. It's too iconic to significantly change, but too unrealistic to allow the flexibility that Batman and Superman have as the other members of DC's Trinity.

I definitely think they should make her stronger than all other Amazons. She was given powers by the Gods themselves when she was born and yet, she seems to be just as powerful as the others.

I think one of her main flaw are his looks, that I find terrible if you want my advice...

Still, I would not underestimate her, and I think she's one of the most powerful superhero of all time, but I think that many writer and many drawers can't do her true justice..

this what i have thought all day! People really underestimate Wonder Woman,, she can beat a lot of male super heroes! if she wants too! she just dont want too do that she has a heart unlike some superherous.. thats the one reason that i like her! she is much more powerful then people think! many people maybe looks at the wonder woman in the tv series! i think is portrait so much weaker there, then she is in the comics! people should read and learn more about her before people say she is weak!
