She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

    I'm actually okay with the cape and notice the muscle definition there? She can definitely be at that level during the production.

    I love capped-Wonder Woman but I'm not sure I like this particular cape or her hair parted down the middle. Regardless, she looks so much better here than she did in the photo they released at SDCC
