Wonder Woman
Character » Wonder Woman appears in 8805 issues.
The Amazon princess, blessed with god-like super abilities, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace, justice, and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is considered an archetype for many heroines outside of comic book. Her initial origin depicted her as a clay baby brought to life by patron goddess Aphrodite, but in recent years she has been depicted as the daughter of Zeus and Amazon queen Hippolyta.

I dont think Bridget will be Wonder Woman. when in the history of movie making have the fans actually had influence on who should be picked for a movie. There are so many other people they can use.... and they dont have to be blue eyed brunette.... Blonds can dye their hair and brown eyes can be changed to BLUE. even height can be adjusted via camera angles... and muscle tone can be added and subtracted from characters.
Yes Bridget looks the part... but there is too much politics in movie making to really make a difference with petitions and marketing for certain characters to play the role.
if they do finally make the movie and she gets the part it wont be a bad thing I am sure.

I couldn't agree more. When I first saw pictures of Bridget Regan I thought she looked the part, but then I watched some of "Legend of the Seeker." Sure, the writing was terrible, but her acting didn't help, and that's the most important thing. She's also primarily done TV work, so there is no reason for a studio to think she can make the leap to film, and she certainly doesn't have the star appeal to be a big box office draw.
Fans too often get hung up on the physical traits, but those are the easiest things to change - that's why studios spend so much money on makeup departments, and spend even more money on proven stars with a track record of good performances. The Iron Man franchise was successful not because Robert Downey Junior necessarily looked like Tony Stark, but because his performance embodied the character so well. Same thing with Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner in The Avengers - he gave a great performance that fans responded to - it didn't matter what he looked like. Brandon Routh, Ryan Rennolds, Halle Berry - they all looked great for their roles, but their performances weren't good enough to sell the characters and their movies failed (admittedly, each of their movies had other problems as well).
So, no. Bridget Regan is great for photoshopped pictures of Wonder Woman, but not for the movie (if there ever is one - hell, Bridget Regan might be too old to play Wonder Woman by the time they actually shoot a film).
