I have to admit I was a little worried that DC where not going to pull this off, but I enjoyed the story and it had some awesome action and showed Wonder Woman is not boring but a power to be reckoned with and looked up to. I give it a 8 out of ten, a few things could have been done different, but they pulled of the mix of comedy and drama well.

well I personally wouldn't have changed anything, and I was actually quite pleased with the portrayal of Diana, personally. She doesn't get enough credit and her sales are low enough as is. Hopefully people will see this film and learn to appreciate Wonder Woman.

Just a few of the characters, Hades was nothing like the one from the comics (depending on what Wonder Woman series we are looking at), I perhaps would have made Steve less a prick to start with, As I remember Steve was always a nice guy, not so much a womanizer. But I can understand why they did it.  Also I would have liked to have seen her interact more with the women of the world rather then think they were all using their females ways rather then standing up for themselves. It would have been cool for her to see how women had fought for their rights and have grown strong in todays worlds. But that is really just nick picks, over all I really enjoyed it and she kicked ass.

Did you see the animated, I kinda dropped DC after the whole batman man RIP thing, but I think I may pick up wonder woman again.

Co-Signed. Although I'm still waiting to drop my review until the DvD is released. But this film was badass.

I've always liked her and the way she interacts with the heroes of the DCU, She is also a great fighter and leader, I mean look at Kingdom come. She just gets a weak rep and is ignored by a lot of fans who thinks she is up tight, I even have the issue where she teams up with deathstorke, (it was a deathstroke comic) but it was epic and I have a few of the ones where she found work at a fast food restraunt it was really cool seeing her trying to fit into a normal day to day routine. I think this movie well really help premote her.
#21 Posted by lordraiden (8404 posts) - - Show Bio

So, is there anyone else from the DCU in this one, or is it just WW?

#22 Posted by G-Man (39292 posts) - - Show Bio

I really hope that people don't support any pirated means out there.  In my opinion, it's a douchey thing to do.  If you don't want to or have the money to buy it, you can always rent it for a few bucks or get it on Pay-Per-View and OnDemand.  If you don't believe in paying, we won't get great features like this one or the upcoming Green Lantern one.

Its just WW.  Besides that more WW centric characters. Steve Trevor is the only real mortal man of note in this movie. Besides that there are the Gods Ares and Hades, as well as Zeus and Hera for like a second. Than there are a lot of Amazons.

Slightly off-topic from this thread, but does anyone think there will be a special/limited edition version of the film?

Depends on the topic/panel. Sometimes you just need to be aware of the fact that they are going on. Pick up a schedule at the information booth. They give you a booklet with everything you need to know about what panels are at what time and etc.

Also if there is a panel that you absolutely must sit in on, get there early. There were some huge lines at New York.

Yeah I would not change a thing about that movie. It was fun where it needed to be fun and serious where needed as well. It was well written and the voice acting was great too.

Well in that case, I think I'll do the douche-y thing that G-Man mentioned and then buy the limited edition one, if there is going to be one released. If not, then I'll buy the original. I seriously need to watch this and put my two cents in.

She says it's not polite to hit a woman which I agree with but would she also agree it's not polite for a woman to hit a man when it's not absolutly neccessary? Society has turned a blind eye to women attacking men.
In fact I remember on the tv show what would you do a woman actually saw it as acceptable for a woman to beat up on a man when he cheated. The problem with that is I am sure the woman would not be in favor of that if the it was reversed with the man beating up on the woman knowing that she cheated.

Its a real shame this didn't get a theatrical release.  Warner could mop the floor with Fox and Disney if they'd just have a little more confidence in Timm and Co.

I loved it.  The humor injected into Steve's characterization had me rolling.  Haven't gotten to listen to the commentary track yet, but maybe I will while the Mrs is on the phone.
