It's about time. Finally fans see the return of Amazons Wonder Girl and Troia to the pages of Wonder Woman. Dealing with the fall out of Diana's defeat at the hands of supervillain, Genocide, Cassie and Donna, along with Nemesis (who steps up to the plate claiming he IS an Amazon - see Wonder Woman #24) try to rescue the fallen Diana while the Greek gods begin to loose faith in themselves, and Zeus promises to grant the Amazons of Themyscira "peace of the grave" once he's returned them all to their mystical island (see Amazons Attack #6). Oh, and the Justice League get their @$$ handed to them by the unconquered Genocide.

This issue was definitely confusing, with lots of plot lines set up. But seeing as this issue is one chapter of the twelve part, "Rise of the Olympians" story arc, it's assumed we'll have answers and resolutions in the coming months. I was a little surprised to see the reaction of Wonder Girl upon the news of Wonder Woman's tragic condition. Cassie has been to Hell and back since befriending Diana, one would assume she would steel herself for anything, despite her age. However, it was brilliant to see Donna taking charge and preparing the young heroine for a possible future without the Amazing Amazon.

I'm not into Wonder Woman comics that much, but this was a bit of a sad issue for me. Wonder Woman was beaten into a bloody pulp by Genocide, taken her Lasso of Truth, and is causing havoc around Gotham. Donna is telling Cassie to stay strong as an Amazon should Diana die, they along with Nemesis take her to Themyscira to heal her with the Purple Ray. Meanwhile at The Departmant of Metahuman Affairs, the current J.L.A. have their hands full against Genocide, and Red Tornado give punched through the face like "BLAM" K.O. Simone and Lopresti also did a fantastic job on the art and the intense writing.

I don't know why but Directer Steel was an asshole on this one, perhaps he doesn't like Wonder Woman and other Metahumans/Human sociated with her. The Gods make no sense at all; first they were royalties, then they were dicks, and now their being humble for forgiveness. This is why I'm not into W.W. comics that much, still this was, otherwise, good. 3.5/5

This issue is mostly action free but it works because of its solid plot.  Wonder Woman has been beaten and her lasso is gone.  Donna and Cassie head to help here as Tom and Etta are already doing.  Meanwhile the Secret Society of Villains is hatching some plans of their own and the Olympian gods are planning some retribution.  Once the creature attacks the Department of Metahuman Affairs though the action is back  - first against its agents and then against a contingent of the Justice League.  Diana insists on returning because she knows what the lasso will be used for.  This is another solid issue in this story arc.  The plot here is what is driving this issue but it makes it so that this is shaping up to be a good story arc.
