Retelling the origin
This issue basically is built around Diana retelling the origin of the Amazons. I am not sure if this is for the benefit of the readers who may be new to the series and didn’t know or if it was just the author putting his own spin on the character, but the previous origin was only six years old and by no means inaccessible at this point so to retell it here seems kind of pointless. The writing though wasn’t bad and the art has seen a definite improvement with a new penciler. The little bit of action and then the twist at the end were also good, but the whole issue seemed almost unnecessary.
