Wonder Woman #54

 Reading through 95% of this issue I was ready to write it off as more of the same as the rest of what Perez has been up to as of late with this title, what with Hermes acting strangely and Diana trying to stop him, while there are also the background story of the Amazons.   However, the last two pages really did change my mind about what I had just read.   It features one of the most grotesque images I have ever seen in comics, which is all the more impressive that this is not a horror based comic.    With that have been said I do have mixed feeling about the issue.   Except for the last few pages it felt like it was dragging on as usual so the overall experience was not as great, though in the end it was redeemed.
