Standing above the others
This is one of the stronger golden age Wonder Woman issues. It does so by ignoring some of the more ridiculous plot elements (well, there are still a few like when she fights elephants) but mostly they focus on a more personal angle and succeed in this way. In the first story Diana has to convince people that their supposedly boring jobs are in fact quite important. In the second story there is a plot to marry Headmistress Sourpuss' hand in marriage as she controls Holliday college's radium supply. In the third story a young man wants to marry but in order to prove himself worthy wants a big story in the paper where he works. He does so by following Wonder Woman around, in which there is also a little bit of a moral that money corrupts. Overall a pretty well put together issue for the golden age - the golden age elements are still there but this one stands above the others.
