Best told the first time
As I was reading through this story I had the feeling that I had read it before and that’s because I had. A lightly modified version of it was in the run between issues 207 and 210 where golden age stories were retold. In it Inventa escapes from and with some accomplices takes over . In order to win the island back Wonder Woman must perform some feats as decided by Inventa. In the second story aliens from Murkton are kidnapping people and plan to use a bomb to destroy the Earth. In the end it is revealed that their plan wasn’t exactly that and despite kidnapping a bunch of people they are freed and allowed to return to their planet. Having read the first story before I can say that it belongs more here in the oldest part of the golden age and not reimagined later. The second story had an interesting twist in it too which made it more enjoyable.
