    Crisis Lead-In

This issue is the end to the two story arc to wrap up the Central American theme before Crisis descends on the heroes (this is actually a Crisis tie-in).   As opposed to an issue which is extremely action packed this took a different approach, with a repetitive time loop that Diana is stuck in.   This was an interesting way to deal with the villain instead of the usual melee type of solutions.   This time loop did take up a fair bit of territory in the issue though and at first I wasn’t sure that there was some sort of technical problem with the issue I was reading.    Overall though a good issue and pretty good lead-in to Crisis.

"The Torches on Science Island": A message within a story? 0

I didn't catch it at first. This comic has a story of it's own, Wonder Woman is trying to rescue some people she knows, friends i assume, and Etta Candy's job is in peril. But there seems to be some clues as to what's going on. Is it weird that Wonder Woman should be questioning the possibility of some culture being hidden away from civilization for centuries, when she herself is an Amazon, from the secret Paradise Island of Themyscira? Didn't the Amazons separate themselves from "man's world" ...
