    So close

Following last issues somewhat unexpected lead in here Diana and Keith are fighting Tezcatlipoca's men and the Amazons he has in his service.  After passing through the mirror in the previous issue Diana is stuck here as Diana Prince, a depowered version of her regular self.  This actually helped to enhance the issue as she and Keith fight off the waves of attackers with only their cunning and wits.  This actually made for a nice statement and frankly Keith said in the comic what I was thinking in my head, that he is impressed with Diana and would rather have her protecting him, than being treated as a helpless individual as Trevor treats her.  The best is yet to come as once Diana gets inside the Tezcatlipoca's palace he forces her to face a sequence of mirrors each of which is an alternate version of herself.  The most telling was a male version of Wonder Woman taunting her that she could accomplish much more as a man, but Diana fights back against this taunting, reinforcing she is stronger as a woman.  The issue kept me engaged from the first panel and left me wanting more so overall it succeeded.  Actually if it wasn't for the subplots involving Steve and his gremlin alien this would have been of the highest caliber.  In the backup story Huntress makes more discoveries about the secret drug.
