Many contenders are itching to be Wonder Woman - even Hercules himself, though he doesn't need to be wearing the star-patterned underwear. In this issue, Wonder Woman has become Agent Diana Prince and has seemed to gain a new sense of humanity. Another positive is that the Dodsons have been chosen as the artists, and they do such a good job of it, portraying her as a beautiful goddess, which of course she is. So far this is the best cover in the series. It still isn't an indicator as to what goes on in the book. I keep bringing that up, yet, I am not a stickler for this rule. It is just something I have been noticing these days. However, the cover does give us more than just a pose picture this time around. The interior art is still not up to snuff, however, the difference between this issue and last, is that the writing is going in the same direction. The Herculese story line is just leaving me...

This issue does a few different things, but it does them all well. it was somewhat expected at some point that with the new series that an origin story would need to be told, and they do that here, just a lot more succinctly. There is also a fair amount of good interplay between Hercules and Diana (even though I have never been a big fan of Hercules in Wonder Woman comics.) The raid Diana and Nemesis plan is also pretty cool, but the real treat is when Circe shows up. She is not acting exac...
