razzatazz's Wonder Woman #29 - Bloodvine review

I saw that coming a mile away

This is really not a separate issue, it more like one big issue between 28 and 29 which got split for space reasons.  Here Chuma continues to tell Diana the origin of the Cheetah.  This part was fairly entertaining and it is clear that for the first time in her character history that someone has put a great deal of thought into a meaningful background for her.  Most of the issue revolves solely around this, but when Chuma has spoken to the end Diana reveals that she was faking being poisoned the whole time (I hope this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone) so she could hear the story.  This is kind of a tired plot device, but I thought they explained it well (all Amazons are trained in recognizing poison after Heracles' men poisoned them).  At the end the issue is well set up for more action.  The Cheetah is receiving a good treatment here, the past two issues have mostly been hers.
