razzatazz's Wonder Woman #269 - Return to Paradise Island! review

The cover is somewhat misleading (not surprisingly).  Diana is not giving up on being Wonder Woman per se, but has at least had enough of man's world and no longer wants to be there (she keeps the lasso and tiara though.)  She witnesses some crimes first hand, then gets confronted by her neighbours who she had previously shared a kiss with (proving she doesn't really understand love either) and then to make things worse she turns on the television to get caught up on the Vietnam war and serial killers.  She decides she has had enough and goes back to Paradise Island.  The first part of this story was interesting because it shows a more human side to Diana that we don't often see.  All people get frustrated, and for Diana her frustration comes from many sources.  The second half of the story wasn't as good, as a volcano is threatening Paradise Island and she has to stop it.  Overall it was a decent enough issue but would have been nice if they kept the sentiment from the first half running to see where it would go.
