    Less meaning more

Despite a villain that I am not really fond of (the Queen of Fables) and despite a setting which rarely works well for comics (Hollywood) this issue still pulls itself together at the end.  The conflict with the Queen is a little strange and frankly at times reminded me of the problems of the golden age (retelling the origin, love for Steve Trevor, a random contest being declared) and really if it wasn't for the end the issue would not have been as worthy.  The end though touches on some nice and relevant points though not in too great of detail, those being of the problems of addiction and the importance of children.  This was just enough to save this issue from mediocrity, and I can see where the writer is taking this, but knowing what Gail Simone is capable of it still feels like it could have been much more.
