Who let the dogs of war out?
It is strange because most people often think of Daredevil as such an interesting hero because of his blindness but they forget that such a character existed long before Daredevil was conceived as Doctor Mid-Nite. He makes a cameo appearance in this issue where he makes a significant impact in both his civilian and superhero identity. FDR also makes an appearance. Most know I am not a huge fan of Steve Trevor, but he was handled here well for once as he becomes a rampaging beast after being the part of Armageddon's experiment. What was perhaps best in this issue though was in the first few pages where Diana is looking for a new home for the Jewish orphans from the previous issue. this actually made an interesting social comment for the disinterest of so many countries (not just the USA) against Jewish refugees in the Second World War. This bit of social commentary elevated a fun issue into something a bit more meaningful.
