    The Day After

This issue follows directly in the aftermath of Diana killing Maxwell Lord.  There are three basic threads in this issue.  First of all she has to face Bruce and Clark over what happened, secondly she is searching for answers about Checkmate and its involvement in what is going on, and third there is a nuclear reactor about to meltdown if she can't intervene.  The nuclear reactor part was interesting, though just a bit of action for what would be an otherwise actionless issue.  The hunt for information is pretty easy (having the Lasso of Truth will do that).  The most interesting part for me was Diana dealing with the Batman and Superman over what she has done.  Suffice to say neither approve of her actions and neither will forgive her (for the time being anyway), but the reasons that neither approve seem to reflect the characters pretty well.  I always like it when I see characters portrayed accurately in different titles and I think they have got Superman and Batman portrayed well here.  After the last issue this one of course seems a bit of a let down, but there is still a sense of the tension building up to Infinite Crisis.   And by the way, the over is completely misleading, Diana is not arrested in this issue.

The reactor sequence was well done
