    Subterfuge

This issue follows the continuing ventures of Diana, Ferdinand and Cassie into the realm of Hades.  To get there they must battle past the Gorgons and the reanimated corpse of Medusa (how much this is real or not is not clear as Ares says Hades has laid magical traps for them.)   Ares shows up as the guide for the three at different stages and leads them to the bronze doors.  The issue ends with the promise of action ahead as Diana and her companions are ready to face the trio of Greek gods.  Throughout the past 20 or so issues it has never really been made clear exactly what Ares has been up to in his schemes, and when he is shown here the reader is still left guessing.  This subterfuge works excellently here always keeping the reader guessing and making this issue and the story arc thus far quite entertaining.
