razzatazz's Wonder Woman #191 - The Game of the Gods - Part Three: Deities and Demons...! review

    Turned to stone

This story arc from the new creative team has taken two issues thus far with a convoluted story arc in which Diana has no recollection of her place in the world or even who she is, and this issue does not do much to provide her any answers.  She makes her way first to the Themysciran embassy and then Themyscira but finds only more conflict.  Earlier in the issue her Amazon sisters had to deal with the threat of a rogue goddess and a hydra and most have been turned to stone.  Diana does discover her tiara after sort of communing with her mother and ends up defeating the hydra but is still pretty much adrift.  Still interesting enough, but compared to the much later Odyssey story arc (after issue 600) which is very similar this one doesn't hold up as well in the same light.  The parts in Zambia and on Oa don't do much to aid the confusion either.  I have to also point out how iconic Diana's long black hair is.  When she doesn't have it she looks more out of costume than with any other change she might undergo.
