Raccoon Eyes
Usually I try to give benefit of the doubt to the lead-in issue to a multi-story arc because there is so much going on usually which has not coalesced into something finite. This makes it hard to judge the seemingly random stuff which is occurring. In this issue though there is a lot of random stuff going on, and most of it doesn't really fit together well. Trevor Barnes has to deal with the disappearance of both his best friend and Diana, while at the same time dealing with his nephew who is asking about drugs. The action then cuts shortly to Oa and then to some other place where Diana is in some sort of dream. This part is not very well explained but it at least has some decent action involved. It is one of those sort of weird lead-ins to a story arc which makes not much sense which the reader can only hope becomes a lot more clear.. The fable which Trevor told to his nephew I thought was a good one to explain drug use, but overall the story felt kind of messy. Also the cover was kind of cool, but featured Diana with mascara and eyeliner induced raccoon eyes, not a look I am used to seeing on her.
