razzatazz's Wonder Woman #171 - Bird of Prey review

    Long time in coming

This issue is proof of how to re-use old characters brilliantly.  Of course anyone reading this in retrospect should be able to figure out who the mystery woman is who is the new Silver Swan but I won't say so here.  The moments between Diana and her mother are now at the stage of becoming too overbearing on the series and no longer really engaging (and they were't very engaging to begin with.)  The moments with Cassie were well handled though and I thought the part at the end when Wonder Woman does finally confront the Silver Swan were well handled and maybe also in a way a long time in coming.  The appearance of a few other heroes seals the deal, though the non sequitur lead-in to Our World at War was not really necessary.
