razzatazz's Wonder Woman #155 - I Married A Monster review

    Finally!

Diana is being pursued by Steve Trevor, Merman and Bird-man, all of whom assume that she has to marry them.   She flees to Paradise island to seek refuge from their advances but while on her way there she discovers a floating castle with an ugly prince inside.   The issue serves as an interesting (though maybe a little misguided) lesson about how good people are more attractive, whenever the prince is good he appears normal (and handsome!)   Whenever he is grumpy or mean he looks ugly.   I didn’t expect much out of this issue from reading the cover, I expected just another issue where lovestruck Diana gets romantically involved with someone just because they say they love her.   That happens numerous times here, but instead of reciprocating, Diana gets annoyed and wants to be left alone from her suitors.   Overall the issue was all right, the first half where everyone is trying to convince her to marry them is recycled and boring, but the second half where Diana agrees to marry the monster to prove he can be loved is much better.
