Internal Struggle
Superman and Batman go to Gateway City as DC's big three battle a new threat. This story is told in three subplots. In the first Artemis begins Cassie's training as their house is attacked. In the second Bruce and Clark try to figure out what is attacking the city and simultaneously try to find Diana. In the third Diana is trapped in some form of mental paradise where all of her dreams are fulfilled as the Earth has become a peaceful place no longer in need of her efforts as Wonder Woman. It was interesting for the first time to see Cassie portrayed in a more realistic manner and the interplay between Bruce and Clark was as always interesting, but the real interesting part here was the world which Diana creates for herself. A pretty good issue overall.
