In Space They Can't Hear You Laying Asphalt

So far in the Wonder Woman title we have seen people invading from mars, and with issue 12 it will be the people of Venus' turn but here we see the people to Saturn trying to invade earth.  Despite the almost complete lack of any sense that that makes (Saturn is a gas planet and extremely radioactive) this issue is still decent golden age fun.  The first of three stories involves Wonder Woman foiling a Saturnian plot on earth (I assume they are called Saturnians - Saturnites maybe?) and in the next two she is forced to go to Saturn where she is kidnapped.  If you can put the idea of Saturn out of your head and just pretend its an alternate earth or something the story is fine.  The second story had a strange plot though where the Saturnians want to make a space road to earth using the rings of Saturn.  Once again not really possible, those rings are made of fine particles.  Still it provided the inspiration for the cover which is one my favourites from this era.  A decent read, better than a lot of the others of the era, but of course still dated in terms of today's comics.
