I think this has come up before.  There was an issue of Wolverine (or maybe Uncanny) where Logan sorta went undercover.  He shaved down his head and looked a little like the Terminator.  At the end, his hair had grown back to normal.

What I don't get is how his son Daken is able to have a mohawk.

    EDIT:  Here it is:

    Wolverine #59 (first volume)
    Wolverine #59 (first volume)

Having super recovery is not the same as immortality. Wolverine still has to eat like any person or he will die. Should he have (for instance) baldness genes, his follicles would die anyway. Not because they were affected by any illness but because they would actually starve to death as nutrients just would not be sent there by genetic demand.
Now, what bothers me is how does Supes cuts his hair (??) lol.

What I don't understand is how Wolverine can cut off pieces of his own arm to eat... shouldn't that be impossible? As in, it would take more energy to regrow that bicep than actually eating the bicep would provide? Unless he has an extremely more efficient digestive system, which isn't impossible... but even so, he should only break even, not actually receive any additional sustenance from that.

I blame Daniel Way and his complete f*&k up of Wolverine.

(sidenote: I always assumed Supes had to cut his own hair with heat vision.)

Hair is just the keratinized simple squamous epithelial tissue compressed in the invagination of the epidermal tissue.

that's a good question but everytime he is blown up or burnt his hair grows back to the length it usually is.
