Anybody doubting my assertion that Wolverine is, most definitely, part of Marvel’s “Big Three” ought to think about this fact coming out of C2E2 - - soon, there will be at least books coming out with “Wolverine” in their titles. Put those on top of all the Avengers and X-Men books that the ol’ Canucklehead already appears in, and it’s pretty clear that the guy has a presence in the Marvel U that’s too prolific to ignore.

First off, is a new WOLVERINE series by Jason Aaron and Renator Guedes, with covers by Jae Lee. The first arc of the series, titled “Wolverine Goes to Hell”, succinctly brings the man sometimes called Logan to the nether realm to face down all the scumbags he’s killed over his decades-long career. There will be a mystery as to who sent Wolverine to Hell, and how they did it, as well as some machinations from demons looking to make him to stick to his murderous ways.  The new ongoing monthly’s starting in September.

The other Wolverine title isn’t about Logan, per se - - it’s a solo title for his evil son. DAKEN: DARK WOLVERINE hasn’t got a release date, yet, but it’ll be drawn by Giuseppe Camuncoli and written by the duo of Marjorie Liu and Daniel Way (check out Babs’ interview with Ms. Liu). The creative team haven’t gotten into much detail about the book, suffice it to say the Daken will continue to be a rat bastard bad ass.

Just a quick question - - has Marvel ever come out and revealed that Flex from ALPHA FLIGHT is Wolverine’s son? Because that was hinted at for a LONG time, and I’d be curious to see how he gets along with his evil half-brother, seeing as how he didn’t quite get along with his other half-brother, Unus’ son Radius, that well.

It's bad enough that I had to drop Wolverine: Weapon X and Dark Wolverine. Now they gotta throw more Wolverine series' out there to torment me? ARGHH!!!

and an X-Men since its reboot in Giant-Sized.
Origins is actually slated to end by 50
 
so thats actually one less title.
people keep complaining that he is in more and more books on a regular basis
but it has yet to actually happen. and obviously if one is bothered by the character dont read his title.
why would a character having a book that a person doesnt have to read be a problem for one that doesnt.
i've never been able to grasp the logic in that.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming Wolverine crossover with Team Wolverine where they fight Dark Wolverine, but are all saved in the end by a time travelling Wolverine who brings back all the past incarnations of Wolverine.

During Civil War, Wolverine was in Atlantis at one point or another, and mentioned that every time he "dies", he see what appears to be Death. He said that every time, it gets harder and harder to "come back"....maybe this is what happens?

Anyone who knows me, knows I love wolverine. 
But I have to say Im not really that excited for new wolverine comic.  
The Daken one might be alright, but then again, im still not that fused, really. 

They better not cancel Jason Aaron's Weapon X to fit these titles in, it's one of my favourite on-going series at the moment, Mr. Aaron knows how to write Wolverine and if you are or ever have been a fan of the character (and I'm guessing that will be most people) you should be reading Weapon X.

Ya i don't think they will touch Flex anymore, he lost his powers after M day, but I don't think he is "known" enough that they will bring him back into the stories. but uncanny X-men has had so many Alpha Flight references lately (Madison jefferies is a recuring character, Dimond lil dieing and there story arc in the nation x book, plus Marrina turned into that huge plodex monster and sent by Osborn to kill them) so who knows, personally i think that would be cool but i doubt seeing Flex any time soon.

i cant wait for both of these. im very excited.

I never realized how many kids Wolvie has... I wonder how much he pays in child support lol!
