After X-Men Origins: Wolverine, many had a bad taste in their mouth over a beloved character from comics. Today, Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold did a live chat that will hopefully reassure fans. At the end, they released the following teaser poster.

Poster looks great.

I have a good feeling about this movie. James Manigold seems competent with a super hero film and actually acknowledged the comics.

Edit: On a more serious note, if they're going the Japan route that poster is brilliant. Just realized the style is calligraphy brush strokes, even the seal.

director feels like he straddles that iffy line of either being really great, or thinking he is really great. The storyline sounds exciting, So if anything goes wrong it will be in the production and directing side.

He's the director of Girl, Interrupted, Identity, Walk The Line, and the remake of 3:10 To Yuma. He's more than proven himself as a quality filmmaker for both actor performances as well as action and suspense.

I'm incredibly stoked about this movie. They are taking the story to an exciting place, and the pictures that have come out have Hugh looking more like Wolvie than he EVER has.

I'm waiting to see what the first trailer looks like to decide, but everything i've seen and heard so far has been good. However, I felt the exact same way about the first Wolverine movie and that was something of a disappointment. In fact I wish I felt the way that I first did about Amazing Spider-Man, where I thought it was going to be awful, thought it looked awful, but the trailers slowly got better and the movie was great.

This is one of the best movie poster's I have ever seen. They really implemented Japanese art style in a brilliant way here. I'm not particularly excited about this movie, I don't even care too much for Wolverine as a character. But I'll probably end up getting a copy of this print for my wall.

lol,I noticed that too.

The poster is nice, but I'm not impressed by the video. I've liked all the xmen films well enough. They were fun. I'm not going to get my hopes up that this is going to be any sort of definitive Wolverine story/film though. I didn't like how they kept referring to the character as "Logan," something about it just didn't seem right. I also didn't much care for how much they kept talking about realistic drama and humanizing and the "vulnerability" of the character. They sound pretentious to me.

All aside though, I hope it'll be good. I do like Hugh's overall take on Wolverine. It's a good bit different, but a good bit of fun as well.

Nice poster but I think, considering the nature of the story that will be told in the movie, that they should have done a modernized variation of this for the poster...

I think that look Hugh is attempting to portray is one of serious contemplation but its so insincere, lol.

I love Hugh. I do, I do, I do.

However, this is his last chance. If he doesn't get it right, or at least, if the attempt feels forced and lacklustre I shall have to set my GPS to another accented English from its present setting of Australian man. I will no longer refer my vehicle companion as Hugh. That'll show him...

Japan -- etc, okay. They referred to the arc and how important it was to them to be consistent there --- but to be honest, I only got through 5 minutes of it -- It really is 4 plus hours long. O_O

Mangold speaks very confidently about the story and the character of Wolverine. I'm glad he's so dedicated and I'm excited for the film.

Anything will be better than that abortion of a movie X-Men Origins: Wolverine. I can dig this, I'm excited for it. Kind of weird it's not a prequel though. Kind of makes me think why not just add in some some other X-Men from previous movies and new characters.

IDEA: Why not have Wolverine and some of the people from the previous movies (as well as new characters) several years after Last Stand coming together after disbanding to deal with (Sentinels, Sinister or mutant hate group(s)). Long story short the deal with what happened during Last Stand and reopen the school.
