Well, they gave us a black Spider-man in Ultimate Universe. So why not right? I think black Wolverine would be awesome. : )
Wolverine
Character » Wolverine appears in 16086 issues.
A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's once mysterious past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses, and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
Is Marvel planning to give us a black Wolverine?

You know, I made a giant response about why what you wrote made no sense but I figured you wouldn't understand.
Black Wolverine probably isn't a character worth making since white Wolverine already exists. I think it would be a better idea if they made a new black character that could stand on his own two feet instead of parasitically living off of the Wolverine name. His name shouldn't have the word Black in it either.
Maybe take an already existing character like Blade or Brother Voodoo and give them a series that isn't garbage. Wolverine didn't become popular because he was Wolverine. Wolverine became popular because good writers wrote some really well written stories.
Wouldn't there have to be a person with claws and a healing factor who got the adamantium treatment?
What are the chances of that same thing happening twice?

Get Hugh Blackman to play him.
LOL how about Will Smith? I heard they wanted him to be Superman.

This.
Yeah, the concept of 'Black Wolverine' sounds a little silly to me. I don't really see the logic of replacing Wolverine with an African-American counterpart. Whereas Ultimate Peter Parker's death was to illustrate the dangerous world of the Ultimate Universe, and Miles Morales added more racial diversity into the universe....I don't think there would be a point to a black Wolverine. I'd rather much see a black superhero elevated to Wolverine's level of popularity!
You could say the same for Spider-Man.Black Wolverine probably isn't a character worth making since white Wolverine already exists.
I will never understand why crap like this gets so many comments yet when I start a thread I have to bump it like 5 times just to get one

Miles would have been a better character if he was his own hero and not Spider-man. He's being written well enough.

Its the sheer stupidity of it that wins comments.
I'm not disputing that. I'm just saying that the idea that there is no need for a black Wolverine because there is already a white one doesn't make sense to me. There wasn't really a need for a Black Fury,a Black Spider-Man,a Black Nighthawk etc. but Marvel did it anyway.Miles would have been a better character if he was his own hero and not Spider-man. He's being written well enough.

It makes perfect sense because those other characters you named weren't worth making either :p
Multiple wrongs don't make a right.
Black Wolverine is not worth making. It is such a one dimensional change.
How would creators pitch color swaps anyway? "Wolverine... BUT BLACK!"

LMAO!
but I think a black wolverine is completely pointless.
It's like "HEY,i got a GREAT idea, let's make a black wolveine...because making black versions of already existing characters is totally what we aim to do".
That's also like saying, let's make a black black widow.Or a black hawkeye. It's just pointless and utterly ridiculous, and overall stupid IMO

I personally think if Marvel were to just plug Black Panther more, he could be one of their premiere and most popular heroes.
Ha, don't joke like that.

Well, we had a perfectly good Nick Fury in 616
but now we're getting this cliche Nick Fury Jr (I sh*t you not, that's what they decided to name him) shoved down our throats
So yeah, Marvel deciding to make Wolverine black for some random nonsensical reason sounds about right to me.

I be nice if they did have a new ultimate wolverine.
They do. His name is Jimmy Hudson

Yes there is a precedent for blackening characters. Nothing points to Wolverine being next. He could be next. No one at the moment has any evidence to back it up. The original poster's thought process is "We have a black Spider-man, Wolverine is next". I don't see any legitimate connection there. All these black/white characters are useless. There are great black characters like Black Panther and Blade, who here is really for blackening characters? Its a dumb way to cash in on big names. It wouldn't be cool at all. its lazy storytelling. Black is beautiful but it doesn't add to the story. :p

This sums up my opinion on making pre-existing characters black, whatever the situation.
i think they should have just use luke cage more or black panther in the ultimate universe, besides storm.
luke cage could be a great character given the right writer besides bendis.
i wish quentin taranrino would make a luke cage movie.

rofl! : )
how the heck would they come up with a black wolverine? they would need to make a new universe just for wolverine. maybe wolverine could have another kid who's black but you cant really kill off wolverine and replace him with a black one. they could try that in a reboot of the eXiles series that showed a team of superheroes from different 'verses traveling around through other different 'verses, saving them. thats the only way i think a black wolverine could be introduced. then there would be a question of whether or not he would be there to stay or if he would just be a fleeting character that pops up in a few comic books before being left behind.
