Wolverine
Character » Wolverine appears in 16086 issues.
A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's once mysterious past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses, and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
I Hate Wolverine
I don't like any character when they take away the reason for the viewer to believe that they are in any real danger. I liked the older stuff he was in when he was more realistic in his power and not unstoppable. Unstoppable is for villains.
@spiderbat87: i really enjoyed wolverine: manifest destiny. dont know if its in trade. the story is basically about what everybody complains nowadays: wolverine relies too much on HF and he gets the crap beat out of him. but then returns to basics, practices and returns and what do you know he doesnt even need the HF. add some chinatown awesomeness and a little short round and you got a great mini-series.

A pointless post for a pointless thread. Makes sense.
You didn't even read the OP did you? Fans like you are a contributing factor to the dislike of the character@spiderbat87 said:

Yeah I read it. Still pointless.
Asking for recommendations is pointless? Right dude, what ever you say.....@spiderbat87 said:

Hmm I do like me some chinatown awesomeness@spiderbat87: i really enjoyed wolverine: manifest destiny. dont know if its in trade. the story is basically about what everybody complains nowadays: wolverine relies too much on HF and he gets the crap beat out of him. but then returns to basics, practices and returns and what do you know he doesnt even need the HF. add some chinatown awesomeness and a little short round and you got a great mini-series.
BTW That pic I posted was from Fatal Attractions IMO a must read for anyone who claims to be an X-men Fan
@Remi: I do love that but that's more for the laugh. The Fatal Attractions scene was iconic and it actually turned Wolverine into a vulnerable character for a while.

Origin and Old Man Logan are my personal favorites
Yup thats one of the best alternative stories I've read. Gave me a total different perspective on wolvie.
Oh great another person who hates wolverine telling us that he hates wolverine.
And another fanboy who thinks it's his right to censor actual revulsion to a character currently being shoved down our throats in every medium.
I like Wolverine but they really need to tone down everything. People talk about Superman being corporate and trying to be everything but he doesn't hold a candle to Wolverine.
He's a berserker killing machine yet he's a moral headmaster for a school
He's a dunk slut who sleeps with anything that walks yet he is a mentor to young girls
He's a loner but is on more teams then team characters also leads half of the X-Men
He's a samurai yet he is a suit wearing mobster.
They need to stop making him be everything
Tone down the healing factor.
Stop being on so many teams.
Neither the starter or the leader of the X-Men.
No computer expert.
Agreed, and don't forget the screaming sanctimony. I don't hate him, used to be a fan, but the writers these days just make me root against him. Way too overblown and full of his own hype.
Any actual recommendations though?
Old Man Logan, Origin, Weapon X, Wolverine goes to Hell
@jonny_anonymous: You still hate him? :D
@wolverine08: by hate him so much as I hate what Marvel does with him
wolverine is kind of like superman( who can be pretty boring ) when he is fighting thugs ninjas robots martial artists rent a gun-men ( they are no real challenge for him) but at the same time he is out of his leagues when he is fighting super powered guys like spiderman, magneto , hulk or cyclops maybe if they gave him steel instead of admantium and super strenght more speed and agility

Magneto and current Hulk are out of his league, but considering he's spent years fighting the Hulk, Spider-Man, and has the X-Men's most standout rivalry with Cyclops, he isn't out of their league.
@jonny_anonymous: You can say the same to Batman.
@azyral_stark: You could say what about Batman?
@jonny_anonymous: I'm no dyed in the wool Wolverine fan. But I quite liked BKV's Logan mini he did with Eduardo Risso. It was recommended to me by another user a while back.
@longbowhunter: Yea I've been recommended that before
Man...a lot of people hate Wolverine. Just look at how many threads of this are made.
Good thing his book sales outnumber his hate threads.

Indeed.
I don't hate him. The everything'ness is annoying but understandable for an immortal(yet nobody else lives multiple lives for being immortal).
The thing I hate about Wolverine is he's never pro-mutant.
Schism.
House of M.
AvX.
Anytime mutants change the status quo. Even when no one gets hurts he is the one who brings back the status quo that their the haunted minority. He is a lovable gruff but he freely walks amongst every group never faces what mutants are fighting for. Does he get the Avengers or SHIELD to help? Never. He someone gets to be a voice at the table because he's of his powers. No convictions. Not that he doesn't care about his friends, we know he does care about his friends, but he's not tied to being a mutant. If he never went back to the X-Men his convictions/character doesn't change at all.
Just once I would a character to tell him he never stands with mutants when they face off against his other friends and thus the status quo.
