how strong do you think wolverine is, what x-men characters do think he could beat and who would you loved him to beat ?
Wolverine
Character » Wolverine appears in 16062 issues.
A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's once mysterious past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses, and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
how strong do you think wolverine is ?
I think he can lift about 2 tons, I think he has a chance to beat most of them, except the ones with mind control. I would love for him to beat magnetto

that is correct, he could lift 800 lbs, peak human strength but the adamantium in his bones allows him to reach 2 tons"
Having adamantium on his bones does not enable him to lift more as the muscles do the work, not the bones.
He might be able to act like a support under a weight already lifted if he braced his body in a certain way that trasmitted the weight through his skeletal structure. This has been shown in the past when Colossus put an I-beam across Wolverines shoulders (Wolverine was resting on his hands and knees) to act as a lever to lift the Blob up when he was not expecting this. This shows that the weight of the lift was transmitted down the straightened arms of Wolverine - when the support granted by the adamantium could be used.
Later OHOTMU put him around peak human strength or even low level enahnced human.
My personal opinion is that he should be around the peak human level. Due to his size (being smaller than say Capt America), this would mean that his strength would be around the 600 - 700 lbs level which seems reasonable considering his usual strength feats.
"I scanned that from one of the handbooks a couple of months ago because people was constantly going on about Wolverine having super-strength. I don't exactly remember which one. Maybe the Wolverine handbook."That's similar to the OHOTMU from the 1980's but different to the hole punched version of the 90's.
I cannot recall what the 2006 / 2007 updated one said at the moment.
I would still put in around 600+lbs though just from the feats we have seen him perform.
"I read on wiki though that because of his healing factor, his muscles can pull in the same direction giving him super strength. And even though its probably not Earth-616, in X-Men Legends 2 and MUA he does have super strength."
....... Fanboys can edit Wiki and MUA and XML2 are video games.......
my problem with them saying he has peak human strength is that the adamantium his skeleton is laced with is incredibly heavy....he would have to be atleast alittle stronger then a peak human to support that weight and at the same time be able to move as fast as he does

I think it's funny when people attack the source instead of debunking the evidence...
"He can regenerate any part of his body. Maybe he's not totally unstoppable, but pretty he's darn close.is logan unstoppable
"
"you have to separete his brain from his body to permanetly stop himis logan unstoppable

kinda like the highlander
"Misty Knight said:What version of the Handbook is this?"Wolverine currently lifts 2 tons."
No.
"
"time said:Even that is not guaranteed. this is what it says on the marvel database
- Wolverine - More than 800 lbs but no more than 25 tons (He has demonstrated sufficient physical strength to snap steel chains and to lift the weight of a dozen men over his head, with one arm, and hurl them through a wooden wall.
"The adamantium may not make him stronger, but it allows him to lift more because he wont be breaking any bones from too much weight. He has been shown to snap steel chains and lift a dozen men over his head with one arm and throw them through a wall while he just had a bone skeleton. With an adamantium skeleton, his muscles can support more weight than he would have been able to before.aztek the lost said:

Don't quote marvel database, they're infamous for making up things.

Not at all. A fan would glorify him.
"So what. If a Wolverine hater was writing Wolverine's comic, it would not sell and would be garbage."
It might be more realistic.

Don't go on anything that any website says. Even stan Lee's book is mimicing the same information given to you by the Feask. Go to bookstore and look at what Marvel has put out themselves.
Adamantium bones would not make him stronger, only more resistant. And a healing factor might give him more stamina, as it probably counters the lactic acid that makes our muscles fatigue, but would not augment strength.
That and the picture that fesak has posted many times in this very thread. ^^
Supposedly, the adamantium bones do make him stronger because he has to carry around an extra 105 lbs. of adamantium all of the time, and therefore his muscles are more developed and stronger because they are always doing more work. (Funny. I'll bet when he had no adamantium his strength degraded -- at least, until Genesis f*cked him up and he went all feral and essentially became Beast. With claws.)
Wolverine has shown several strength feats greater than what the Handbooks say. I'm going with the comics.
Err... just a question... How heavy is his adamantium skeleton? Because he is able ot support his own weight with ease and still do some artistic maneuvers we could go from there to measure his trength level. Take this plus perhaps 200 lbs. and you'll have his minimum strength level. Just a suggestion though.
I would say hes has to be stronger than Steve Rogers.....Rogers is the perfect peak human so whatever level of strength you think that is wolverine has to be just a little bit stronger because of carrying his skeleton and how quickly his muscles heel. it would be like a guy on constant HGH his level of strength would be constantly getting better. AS his muscles rip and tear they would heal themselves in a min....no protien shakes needed! they would keep getting stronger till they peak out....but then again would they ever peak out? I mean if they keep healing would they not just get bigger and stronger?
bottom line wolverine is strong! lets call him a mini powerhouse! LOL!!!
wolverine is capable of killing ppl with casual punches or attacks so he has to hold back now that is pretty strong, stronger then average human.
I have not really read xmen or wolverine titles lately my main exposure to wolverine is in the avengers books and he seems to loose alot in those titles or at the least not get clear wins in battle.....but I think thats all BS wolverine should be able to beatdown about 78% of the guys he faces maybe more. Outside of the mind attack guys I dont think any xmen can take him and on his avengers team only spidey or maybe Bucky could take him and yes yes yes I think he could beat Ms Marvel!
