Wolverine
Character » Wolverine appears in 16078 issues.
A long-lived mutant with the rage of a beast and the soul of a Samurai, James "Logan" Howlett's once mysterious past is filled with blood, war, and betrayal. Possessing an accelerated healing factor, keenly enhanced senses, and bone claws in each hand (along with his skeleton) that are coated in adamantium; Wolverine is, without question, the ultimate weapon.
G-Man & RedLAMP Talk Old Man Logan Part 7
What could possibly happen is the next issue. Let's hope it's more than just going after the Hulk Gang. When will we see part 8? Will Doctor Doom show up? Will all this have been just a dream? What about a sequel or prequel?
This issue was downright awesome. I've never been that excited to see Wolverine pop his claws...then the moment that proceeded it when that dude was talking to him...it was epic.
Doom has Chicago, that's why he only has the little strip... He's riding the ferris wheel at Navy Pier.
Love the concept of Red Skull having a Trophy Room with the heroes' weapons...and Thing's hand, man, that is priceless.
Does drinking assist in the reviews and doing accents? Or is it just an excuse to get "sheeyot-faced"?
I've missed out on all these issues, don't know if I'll be able to get any copies, or if a Trade will come out, but it really sounds awesome. Blast It!
Poor Super Coonce doesn't realize what happened to him.
I just got the one with Red Skull in it, and I would love to see how all of the super-heroes died(Tht sounds weird)

Sorry, meant to say one splash page devoted to the 'snikt'
Red Lamp "He went a little emo." HAHAHAHAHA that was priceless! It's a good thing he didn't go really emo cause how horrible would it have been if he only popped his claws to cut himself?!?! LOL!
The trophy room is one of the best scenes in any comic. Not only did the Skull have the items you've mentioned, but he head half of Beast's upper body, Luke Cages gold grills, and my favorite, Mr. Fantastic's bullet ridden costume stretched across his wall. The fight was pretty badass. I think on some level the Skull's reaction to the shield was more out of fear then Logan touching his prized grail. Kinda like the ghost of Captain America coming back to haunt him (but that's just my theory). As for whats up with Doom, I'mma go ahead and say Marvel made a conscious decision to downplay him/barely use him at all since he's already in two major story arcs. People might start to get sick of him before the big pay off in FF4. In that regard I'm glad they went with the Red Skull cause we haven't really seen much of him lately.
Oddly enough the fact that all the heroes are dead is one of the cooler things about this series, yet its one of the major complaints about Ultimatium.
As for the ending I'm siding with Lamp. The cause of Wolverine popping his claws may have been predictable but it didn't make it any less of a $#@! Yeah! moment. Kinda like a Clint Eastwood movie, you know something tragic is going to happen that sets him on the path of revenge. Which in turn causes him to open up that wooden case containing his special revolvers he swore never to use again. Great story, great art, great read. A well desrved 5 outta 5.
(on a side note if you two need a sponser let me know)
I need some help, I just got #72, but what about #73? and how many issues is this story?
I'm really confused about it

A great isse from beginning to end...It seemed obvious from the get-go that would happen and be the watershed event to make go sknit-sknit...But I was so into it, I couldn't but but smile despite it's obviousness. It's just a shame they're releasing them in such a messed up order. Let's hope this last issue is every bit as great.

I'm told that this ties into Fantastic Four 1985. I left that title on the shelf as it didn't appear to be that interesting to me.
Anyway, I think we all saw the popping of the claws thing coming right!?! I know I did and I have to agree, that it was a letdown. I was disappointed that I saw this coming and it played out predictably. I'm also a little peeved that this wasn't the end of the story as it feels like it took a year to give us 7 issues and now I'm going to have to shell out $5 to get a one-shot to see the Hulk gang get what's coming to them! At least it will be great to look at!. sigh
I dont think this issue could have played out any better. Millar is awesome and I agree most of his books are not that wordy but a great story is usually there. I think Mysterio not getting his is a bit nit picky. Killing all of your buddies seems reason enough to me to not use your powers again. Logan was beat there was nothing left to prove. Would it be cool if he has a Mad Max finale with Mysterio tied to a car with a bone saw? Yes. Necessary? Not at all.
