Could He Play Wolverine?

#1 Posted by War Killer (20211 posts) - - Show Bio

So I just recently watched the first episode of the new show Alphas on SyFy, personally I thought it was a great show and the characters were all fun to watch and see interact. Though I will not deny that the whole show did feel like a rip-off of the X-Men (if you've seen the show then you probably know what I'm talking about) but most of all there was one character that I couldn't help feel stood out to me and that was the character played by actor Warren Christie. Maybe it's just me, but as I was watching the episode I couldn't help but keep thinking "this guy would make a great Wolverine." Now don't get me wrong, I love Huge Jackman as Wolverine and hope that he will play the role for at least a few more movies before passing it on to someone else. But with First Class being such a big hit it's only a matter of time before they get a younger Weapon X.

So I'm wondering, am I crazy or does anyone else think that Warren Christie could play Wolverine? O_o

I just don't see it, but who knows maybe with longer hair and bad attitude... and I'd have to hear him say bub at least once

If an aussie who's over 6 feet tall can play a short hairy Canadian... then I don't see why this kid can't. But I'd still prefer Hugh Jackman ;)

I prefer him too, I was looking more into after he's done (since I don't see him doing many more X-Movies) who could possible fit the role after his time is up. :)

Both Chris Evens and Chris Hemsworth were pretty small guys before but now look at them in Captain America and in Thor. It wouldn't be too hard for this guy to put on some muscle. As for actually height, I don't think it would really matter. If people didn't mind Huge Jackman's height I don't think they'd mind this guys.

i dont know about chris hemsworth but chris evans has always been big. he is just... even bigger now. the thing about the guy in this thread is a small frame. I see him working out and getting a lot of lean muscle but it would take so much work to get him to be ripped that it makes more sense to just get somebody else lol.

If you saw the difference between how the guys in 300 looked without CG vs how they looked on screen you'd realize he wouldn't  need a terribly heroic physique to play Logan. I like Hugh Jackman as movieverse Wolverine, though.
