OK Wolverine's claws come out ether the top of his hand or between his knuckles and they are housed in his forearm, my question is if he was to extend his hand like in the pic would the claws come out of his wrist?

according to the movie, and basic logic, they're housed in his forarm...

see? that allows the wrist to still have full movement :D

so if he 'snicked' them open while his hand was in the poisition you have pictured, then it would rip through his hand and out of the palm, unless they were stopped by the adamantium hand bones that is...

While Logan can bend his wrists with his claws retracted or fully extended, he cannot, in fact, extend them with a bent wrist.
