Is it possible for Wolveirne to lose a limb?  He has adamantium so I would think its impossible..

Thanks

@virgin4life: i really dont think so coz his bones are adamantium right?
so even if his limb was cut the adamantium would still hold his limbs coz adamantium is the hardest substance in marvel universe right???

Someone could peel the flesh off his Adamantium bones.  However, because of the Adamantium they would be unable to sever the whole limb.

However, X-23 recently lost an arm.  Only her claws are coating in Adamantium, so Kimura was able to slice through the limb with a hedge-trimmer.  Ouch.  X-23 managed to remove the Adamantium claws out of the severed arm & then set the limb on fire.  She later regrew a new arm & had Dr Nemesis replace the bone claws in the new arm with her old Adamantium ones.

Therefore, if it weren't for the fact that Wolvie's whole skeleton is coated, then he would be able to lose (and regrow) a whole limb.

He can lose an Arm if the characters are strong enough. Example if the Hulk uses his massive strength and rips his arms off breaking the admantium.
Then he would just have one arm even if he can grow back his bones it woudlnt be Adamantium.

LIES! Wolverine CAN lose a limb. His joints aren't coated in adamantium. If they were, he would be incapable of moving his limbs around and be a statue. If there were a character like maybe Spider-Man or above, they could in theory RIP hm to pieces.

Maybe he could be bisected, Elizabeth Short (black dahlia case 63 years ago) died of a perfect bisection, someone cut her in half with a scalpel the one way they could avoid having to cut bone. Spinal segments don't have bone between them (at least I think) so (I suppose) he could be killed from a very, very precise cut.

@mikezeta: He's been ripped in half and lived. (Ultimate Universe).

@fesak: wolverine can lose body parts at the joints that aren't covered in adamantium like the aoa version wrist joint so he lost the hand easy ...

Did the Ultimate Wolverine have the same healing factor & Adamantium laced skeleton?

man that hulk is a total jerk!

#15 Posted by mikezeta (14 posts) - 2 years, 6 months ago - Show Bio
@Eternal Chaos:  Oh, I was just trying to say that his ligaments probably aren't adamantium and that would probably be the ticket to beheading, and by extension, killing him.

Only thing adamantium about X-23 is her claws. And even then, they're only laced with it.

well then i guess they cant cos they grow back but if u want to be a dick about it yeah they can loose limbs for a short while before having them grow back

@cjhanz: The limbs will grow back, just not with the adamantium.

The answer is no.In order to lose it...it would have to not grow back.

I always figured he had adamantium wires or cords connecting his bones. That's the only way I could resolve this to myself as a kid. Related question: presumably, the tiny bones in his inner ear aren't coated with adamantium, but what about his hyoid bone (the only bone unconnected to any other bone)?

Yes, but I've noticed Ultimate adamantium is notably weaker than 616 adamantium

@Vance Astro: I think the healing factor would render this question null then.

@cjhanz:  They would grow back. Just without the metal.

He can't. Not unless he doesn't have Adamantium. Either way, he'll always regenerate.
