(May contain SPOILERS!)

As he recovers from getting gutted by his son last issue, Wolverine is both happy and sad to know that his son is like his mother on the outside but him on the inside. He senses that S.H.I.E.L.D. agents are making their way into his holding room. He cuts them a break and doesn't kill them as he escapes.

Once outside, Wolverine finds a hat and coat he can use to escape unnoticed. He cannot detect the scent of his own son. He also doesn't know if he's being helped or set up.

Wolverine's son makes his way to the apartment he was staying at. He reveals to the girl he was staying with that he used her, then she dies from a drugged bottle of wine he left for her. He also proclaims himself as the inheritor of the Earth.

On a farm somewhere, a man named Milo accidentally kills one of the family's horses. He has the mind of a child but appears to have super strength. As he lies in bed wishing he could be a "gooder boy" for his daddy, he hears a voice saying he wants to help him. He reveals his name as Silas Burr, otherwise known as Cyber.
