    Disco sucks, this comic doen't

    Remember the good classic days of Marvel, back when the X-Men had broke the mold by having the occasional bit of humor? This book takes place right after the Phoenix Saga, the first one, and stars an unsure Dazzler, who is right on the edge of the end of Disco. It's a decent, light hearted piece of work, with Siryn of all people as a main part of the book. Parts of the story read more like a parody, much like most of  Peter David's run on this book, but it is a rather humourous look at the X-Men in training and the junior X-Men known as Shadowcat

      Besides this issue, I've only read one other Wolverine: First Class. Based on the first experience, I wouldn't have read this one. Like the first experience, however, this issue also involved Siryn... so I had to read it. I'm glad I did, though. For starters, this issue shows Siryn adapting to a situation like a pro, which makes her a more viable candidate for deputy leader of the 90's X-Force. The other issues pre-X-Force don't quite do this. Also, the story is fun to read and it moves along at...
